A patient is struggling to breathe at 3 AM. Her heart rate and oxygen numbers haven’t changed, so nobody walks into the room.
Doctors and nurses traditionally learn to examine a patient in 1 order: look, touch, listen. Healthcare has automated plenty since then: ECG leads, lab results, the whole chart. But when it comes to looking at the patient, it's still manual.
