The Anacostia is just starting to hit its stride, environmentally speaking. What would the construction of such a behemoth do for the river? Can you imagine all the sediment and debris and loss of habitat? Help me out here @DOEE_DC
I’m very happy for @AmberGove and our community as this was decisively voted down. Our family is constantly amazed at the countless hours she puts in to be there for our ANC and family!
Per @Vote4DC, the unofficial results in the recall vote of @AmberGove in ANC 6A04 are as follows: 452 ballots cast, 344 against recall, 108 for recall, 16 Special ballots. This means Gove retains her seat for the two remaining months of her term. She’s running for re-election.
There are some awesome people out supporting my wife and ANC commissioner @AmberGove against a cynical and petty recall today, and this tweet sums up the situation very well.
Don't be an asshole. Vote against the recall of @AmberGove who is an awesome advocate for our neighborhood.
