Agreed. And I know this is a slight diversion, but when Clennell said he would not be 'intimidated' by James Ashby I screamed laughing at the thought of anybody finding Ashby intimidating. I've met more intimidating 17 year old chihuahuas.

Someone in the Labor Caucus explain to Australians how in the hell we got AUKUS’d.
When the illusion finally shatters, what remains isn't disappointment,it's humiliation. The man you poured your faith into was never a visionary, never a savior, never even remotely exceptional. He was a hollow fraud wrapped in ego, fueled by noise, and sustained by endless self-promotion. Every boast, every grand promise, every display of swagger crumbles the instant reality enters the room. What looked like confidence was arrogance. What looked like strength was insecurity. What looked like leadership was little more than a carefully marketed illusion. Scratch beneath the surface and there's no hidden brilliance, no master strategist, no misunderstood genius. Just an impulsive, self-absorbed figure stumbling from one failure to the next, desperately trying to drown incompetence in a torrent of bluster and spectacle. In the end, the strongman image collapses into exactly what it always was: cheap theater. -A gaudy performance. -A caricature masquerading as leadership. -A salesman peddling an image he could never live up to. And the hardest part isn't watching the act fall apart. It's realizing how long you applauded it, defended it, and mistook obvious bullshit for substance...

Have Albanese & Wong congratulated President Lula yet. What? Wong has claimed friendship with everyone but not Lula, Francesca Albanese or Navi Pillay. facebook.com/share/v/1ED6e4x…

On this Israeli election day, I’d recommend reading this extraordinary @haaretzcom interview with billionaire Ronald Lauder, president of the World Jewish Congress and once one of Benjamin Netanyahu’s closest confidants. One of Lauder’s most striking conclusions: “I realized at the end of the day that Israel really didn't want peace, but they wanted dominance.” This is coming from someone who helped launch Netanyahu’s political career, introduced him to powerful figures in American politics and media, and secretly negotiated with Hafez al-Assad and Rafik Hariri on his behalf in the late 1990s. In one of the interview’s biggest revelations, Lauder says Netanyahu agreed to a comprehensive peace deal with Syria and Lebanon, including withdrawal from the Golan Heights, but ultimately refused to sign it for political reasons. “He chose politics over peace. He put his political future before the deal.” Now 82, Lauder describes his profound disillusionment with Israel’s direction. After decades of supporting Israeli and Jewish institutions, he has sold his Tel Aviv apartment, given away his Be’er Sheva property, and says he has no intention of returning to Israel. He warns that Netanyahu’s dependence on figures like Ben-Gvir and Smotrich is damaging Israel, alienating diaspora Jews and eroding support in Washington. The interview is also full of fascinating details about Lauder’s role in Netanyahu’s political rise. The two became close friends in the 1980s, when Netanyahu was Israel’s ambassador to the UN, speaking almost daily at times. Lauder says he introduced Netanyahu to speech coach Lilyan Wilder to improve his public speaking and, crucially, to Republican strategist Arthur Finkelstein, who would become instrumental in Netanyahu’s electoral success. When Netanyahu left New York to pursue a political career in Israel, Lauder threw him a farewell party attended by some of the most influential figures in American media and politics, including Rupert Murdoch and the head of the New York Times. Lauder recalls opening doors for Netanyahu and helping him cultivate the relationships that would underpin his rise to power. What makes this interview so revealing is that Lauder is no longtime critic of Israel. He had been a committed Zionist, a Republican power broker, and a man who spent decades financing Jewish institutions, cultivating relationships with Arab leaders, and pursuing diplomatic openings on Israel’s behalf. A fascinating read 👇 haaretz.com/israel-news/elec…

🚨Brilliant interview! 💸💰💸💰💸💰💸 🚨How do banks create money ? 💸💰💸💰💸💰💸 🚨Prof Werner is incomparable. In the 5000 yr history of banking no-one has ever done an imperical study of banking to show where the money comes from- until now. Step up the rock star economist Professor Richard Werner. His amazing qualifications and held positions makes the eye water. He is truly the authority on this subject. Banks are thought of as deposit taking entities who lend money - but that is just wrong. His assessment - Banks dont lend money but they misrepresent (lie) to their customers and say that they do.

Congratulations Robert McClelland AO, our new @NACCgovau Commissioner. Please show a cynical public that NACC will not hesitate to use its powers to expose serious/systemic corruption. What about electorate pork barreling to wipe that smirk off Albo’s face? Then .. arms trader slush/influence in defence procurement? Go for it. We need to TRUST our governments.

🇫🇷 France: They blamed Muslims. Then migrants. Then the "radical left." Turns out it was Kevin T, white, submachine gun, shot a 12-year-old EIGHT times, killed a Black Christian man. Media calls him "suspected." Says "mental health issues." He literally said he targeted Blacks and Arabs.

When public servants give evidence in a public hearing, about jobs that the public pays them to do, their answers should be direct, unambiguous, and detailed. That is the contract between the public and government. Any suggestion otherwise goes against that agreement.
