The weirdest part of AI economics is that the cost of intelligence is falling while the cost of using intelligence is rising.
Models are getting dramatically cheaper for the same level of capability, but agents are consuming exponentially more tokens to plan, call tools, retry, reason, and verify.
So the efficiency gains at the model layer can get completely eaten by inefficiency at the agent layer.
The important metric isn't how cheap a token becomes. It's how many tokens it takes to produce one useful outcome.

Alan's task router now runs on Jev by @typesafeai
and the improvement is significant ⚡️
faster routing, better execution, fewer bottlenecks.
the agents are getting smarter
the infrastructure is getting faster
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI?
I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev
• 20-200x faster
• 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free)
• Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions
AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution
