We absolutely love @BuzzSumo, @answerthepublic and @canva. @Quora & @reddit are also a great tool to get real insights for content creation. For collaboration, @GoogleWorkspace is a blessing and @tryKbee is perfect for documentation 🙌

Our theory is folks want to make Type 1 docs, but the overhead is too high. If making Type 1 was as easy as type 2, everyone would do it. @tryKbee is our first step in making that possible, lots of work ahead to make this a reality
You can create 2 types of internal docs 1) Reader-optimized 2) Writer-optimized Most people & teams assume that all their docs must be Type 1. But the friction to create & update Type 1 docs is very high. That's why internal docs are often outdated & messy. On Type 2 docs👇🏾

In my experience, people tend to ask the same questions. If one person has a question, you can be sure that someone else will have the same one in the future. This includes both customers and teammates, especially if you are #remote and need to support folks asynchronously!

You have to document everything! A good knowledge base tool will make this easy on both the content creation and consumption side, so you shouldn’t worry about going overboard. My easy rule of thumb is if someone asks, document it! – at San Francisco, CA

A knowledge base is only valuable if information is up to date and everyone can access it. Make sure you have a defined process for reviewing, updating and adding new content to your knowledge base, and make sure everyone knows how to use your KB! – at San Francisco, CA

An external knowledge base helps #customers help themselves. It’s all about optimizing their time to value. If customers need to ask you questions to find #answers, it slows them down. A public knowledge base also has #SEO benefits as you can rank for keywords on your articles. – at San Francisco, CA

Your internal knowledge base helps your #employees and #partners operate more efficiently. It contains things like SOPs, BRDs, design docs, project management artifacts, #onboarding information and more.
