I reckon we're massively underestimating what happens when a founder can access the research, analysis, technical expertise and execution capabilities of an entire team for a fraction of the cost and in a fraction of the time.
Productivity on steroids.
It's going to fundamentally change the economics of building a business.
And I don't think the startup industry really gets it.
DO NOT build a startup.
Seriously. Don't.
Unless you enjoy sleep deprivation, eating investor rejections for breakfast, and explaining to your family why you're still broke after "launching something big."
Don't build a startup if your idea came to you in the shower and you haven't talked to a single user.
Don't build a startup because TechCabal made it look cool.
Don't build a startup because your friend raised $1M and now you think you should too.
Building a startup means watching everything break, product, team, confidence, and still showing up the next day.
It means hiring people who are smarter than you, then wondering why they don't deliver like you.
It means customers ghosting you, investors grilling you, and competitors copying you all at once.
And if all that sounds fun to you!
Then maybe, just maybe, you should build a startup.
But please, do it because you have to. Because the problem keeps you up at night.
Not because you want to be "a founder" on X.
This isn't a flex. It's a war zone.

I've spent over 30 years starting, building and investing in businesses, and I reckon we've got the whole startup thing a bit backwards.
We celebrate starting, raising and announcing.
Yet none of that means you've built a business.
Until someone wants what you're selling and is prepared to pay for it, you've got a hobby.

Only you will go to Mass.
After Mass, you join NSPPD.
After that, you join another prayer programme in another denomination.
Then you pray the Rosary.
And you end the day with the Hallelujah Challenge.
And you are a Catholic.🤨
When you constantly mix different spiritual practices and doctrines from different Christian traditions, it is difficult not to become confused.
As Catholics, we are blessed with an abundance of powerful and beautiful means of growing in our spiritual life:
The Eucharistic Adoration.
The Rosary.
The Novenas.
The prayers and devotions of the Church.
The intercession of the saints.
And the Sacraments.
And above all, we have the Holy Eucharist and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the greatest treasure of all.
The Catholic Church has given us an incredibly rich spiritual treasury. You do not need to constantly look outside the Church for something else to grow in your relationship with God.
You should not be jumping from the Catholic Church to different denominations and prayer programmes in search of miracles.
Stay rooted in the Catholic faith.
Pray the Rosary.
Go to Confession.
Spend time before the Blessed Sacrament.
Pray the prayers and devotions of the Church.
And, above all, attend Holy Mass and receive Jesus worthily in the Eucharist.
Everything you need to grow in holiness has been entrusted to the Church by Christ.
You do not need to leave the Catholic spiritual treasury to find something better elsewhere because there is nothing better you'd find outside of the Church Christ instituted.
Be Catholic.
Stay Catholic.
