You might have noticed how I often mention that we are a small team of 2. It is not merely to paint @trynotionapps as a David among the Goliaths.
It is because we take immense pride in our execution speed—a pace that is comparable to the best-funded no-code platforms out there.
Here is a message from my co-founder @jatinarora269, about how the other day he paused to reflect on everything we rolled out in the past six months. The list isn't even exhaustive, we added many more features, performance improvements and fixes.
Jatin has been owning tech for the product, has a massive bias for execution and is so humble that he describes the pace as just "decent enough"—but I’d say it’s nothing less than impressive.
We’re proud of what we’ve achieved as a lean but focused team. Each feature we shipped was requested by Notion users who want to build apps that exactly fit their needs.

I'm building a SaaS with @NotionHQ and @trynotionapps! 😊
It's going to be a coaching app.
What do you think? Is it possible? 🙂
👷♂️ I want to build it 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘!
I'll share everything—from design to production.
🎯 The objectives are to:
1. Verify if it's doable
2. Share the thought process
3. Talk about design, marketing, no-code, product management,…
4. Demonstrate best practices
5. Show what doesn't work too
6. Do what I love - Building digital products
Consider it an experiment or minimum viable product
Not a real business (yet 😉).

Barcode Scanner & Notion databases
🌱 As @NotionHQ's popularity is increasing, its use cases are diversifying. From inventory management and order processing to asset tracking, retail, and warehouse management, the range of applications continues to grow.
🛠️📱 @trynotionapps helps you build powerful apps with integrated barcode scanners, simplifying these processes and improving efficiency. Streamline your operations and reduce manual entries with ease.
No more manual barcode entries. 🥲

Major update from @trynotionapps!
The good news is that the founders are regularly adding impressive features making NotionApps the best solution in my opinion to build web and mobile application on top of @NotionHQ

Replying to @NotionHQ
@NotionHQ will cover 80% of the use cases with 20% of the most used features whereas expert tools such as @fillout or @trynotionapps will address needs for the 20% of advanced users.
There were hundreds of "form builders” before Fillout
And there will be many more after us
When Google Forms started in 2008, people said it would kill Jotform and SurveyMonkey
After all, Google Forms is 100% free and has the best distribution on the planet
But Typeform launched 5 years later and today has 100s of millions in ARR
Jotform and SurveyMonkey each have hundreds of employees and millions of users
And Qualtrics (the best marketed survey builder of all time) was bought in 2019 for $8 Billion by SAP
Markets are always bigger than you expect
All that said, Notion is an awesome product and has a great team and community behind it
In fact, they're our 3rd biggest integration partner and we use (and love!) the product for all our internal wikis
It's counterintuitive, but I'm personally excited to see what they launch in the forms space
I think it'll make Notion more of a first-class database (like Airtable and Google Sheets) and expand the market for everyone
Lastly, I think people underestimate how deep a rabbit hole "forms" really is
I've seen this first-hand in the last 2 years of running @fillout
Though we've shipped literally hundreds of form-related features (and even entire sub-products like scheduling, workflows & PDF generation), we're still just scratching the surface of meeting our customer's needs
One thing I know for sure: there's no one tool that can cover them all
tldr;
Welcome to the forms party @NotionHQ 😉

Day 24 + 25 of #100DaysofNoCode 💯
I didn't realize there was so many things I could integrate with Notion until recently
This morning I did two test builds:
✅ A company knowledge base with @HelpkitHQ
✅ An online course app with @trynotionapps
I've bookmarked both of these tools. HelpKit for my fulltime SaaS job and NotionApps for my side projects

Day 25 of #100DaysofNoCode! Tried using @NotionHQ & @trynotionapps to make a directory for @KerrFolkFest 2024 New Folk Finalists. Ended up building it from scratch because templates were tricky. Need to work on formatting to get it just right.

I've got news! @trynotionapps is not just for mobile anymore. Desktop View is now live 💻🥳
We launched the first version of the tool last year, to help users build apps directly from their favorite productivity tool - Notion.
When we launched the first version we took a call to focus on mobile apps, because little did we know that most use cases are business apps or internal tools used at a desk.
This is also the first feature where we gave pre-launch access to some power users in our community for testing it. Special thanks to them, the suggestions and bugs they raised helped us improve and go live last weekend.
Here are some important aspects of Desktop View (clips attached in the same order)
🔵 How to try the desktop view
Apps will automatically have the "Desktop View" enabled. To try it out in the builder you can use the desktop-mobile toggle next to the app preview, you can also use the expand icon for a better desktop preview.
🔵 App navigation for desktop
The desktop view can either have top or side navigation. To configure this, go to "All Screens", select Desktop on the toggle, and select "Navigation Style". You can also enable/disable screen icons.
🔵 Lists & forms on desktop
We redesigned the layouts of all screens to look better on desktop screens. You do not have to do any new configurations to make this work. Just build your app and see the magic happen.
🔵 Responsiveness
Last but certainly not least, apps are fully responsive and automatically adjust to fit any screen size.
If you are a Notion user and haven't tried NotionApps yet, build your first app now! I was told their apps look beautiful on all devices.
