I'm much more in favor of "Latine" than that hideous "Latinx" slur, but we'll see if the community actually adopts it.
It's. Just. Not. Good.
Wokeness isn't even much of a reason at all why, either.
Though there are a lot of people on the 'woke' end of things who like to play devils advocate and like to say "it's not SO bad, actually!"
(yeah, it's not a 1 or 2, sure! but not more than a 5)

All the dunks on this are justified, but I do think it is pretty hard to maintain a lot of close friendships if you are a guy in his 30s with a full time job and one or more kids.
It's ‘Gardinas’ not ‘Hrodna’
‘Smolenskas’ not ‘Smolensk’
'Naugardas' not 'Novgorod'
‘Tverė’ not ‘Tver’
‘Maskva’ not ‘Moscow’
'Pskovas' not 'Pskov'
‘Polesė’ not ‘White Ruthenia’

My vote is open field for both parties. Trump will be embroiled in enough issues in order to ever conceivably win, Biden knows he's too old. The problem is how to save face and designate successors, the latter of which is especially a problem for Biden.
With both rising interest rates and a shortage of housing, Congress needs to begin to provide federal incentives for home and multi-unit builders, so that we can have both a tightening of housing/rental prices and a medium/long-run increase in supply that suppresses inflation.
What is most likely for the 2024 Presidential nomination on both parties?

15 votes • Final resultsAs good of a model of a campaign a Democrat can run I would say. The question is, should we trust the internal Democratic polls that have Ryan up, up to by 9, or the Republican pollsters that have Vance up by up to 3?
Still, Sherrod Brown won by 6.8 in 2018. It can be done!
This Kharkiv-Izyum counter-offensive has basically turned the tide of the war monumentally. I can see a collapse up to Luhansk in the coming week(s). If you can expect Kherson to fall before winter ends most operations, Putin could be in trouble!
Update: First two episodes are pretty poor. I would rate the first one at 3.5 and the second one at 6.5. They had so much good material to work with, but Galadriel is largely a dumb character with dumb plotlines. The hobbit plotline is bizarre. Elrond/Celebrimbor/Dwarves good.

I'll wait and see, and probably watch anyways. I hope it's not worse than Wheel of Time or the last 3 episodes of GOT, but I doubt it. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. But, probably a better idea not to try to sell controversy on dumb content, and instead make good content.
it truly feels like this is designed to appeal to the sensibilities of a spirit of an 8-12 year old upper middle class girl who grew up in the suburbs in the 90s. The dialogue and storytelling style both leaves out content and is a lame attempt at trying to be folksy.
I have yet to watch Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power, and am hearing mixed reviews even among people who would usually not care about the anti-woke flavor of the 'Geekdom' backlash against it. Important to note that House of Dragons did not receive same despite the Velaryons.
Anyways, the major backlash campaign which has been brewing for a year, particularly when the first trailers came out, I would argue is largely a near-universal 'Geekdom' backlash against 'wokeness' and associated critical theory applied to filmography, stemming from #Gamergate .
