Veteran Kenyan road runner Mark Kiptoo broke the Masters (over-50) marathon record at the Frankfurt Marathon on Sunday. This came just weeks after the evergreen Kiptoo broke the half marathon Masters record in Spain.
"I take running as a way of life and enjoy the many benefits of also inspiring someone, and breaking the record has given me more reasons to keep going..."

🇧🇷 BRAZIL 🇧🇷
I warmly congratulate the Brazilian people on President Lula ’s victory. Beyond the electoral result, I see a people asserting their right to determine their own future in the face of sustained pressure. Their choice carries significance far beyond Brazil: it offers hope to those working to defend democracy and protect the rights that have expanded people’s opportunities across generations.
This victory also invites us to pause and reflect on the direction of multilateral and geopolitical affairs. What kind of international order are we helping to build, and whose interests does it serve? For me, a more just world must give African countries and the wider Global South greater influence over decisions that shape their futures. Multipolarity must be judged by whether it strengthens peace, human rights, equitable cooperation and the freedom of peoples to choose their own development paths.
I believe this can become a watershed, provided we turn encouragement into sustained action. Those seeking to reverse fundamental rights must encounter a broad, organised and democratic commitment to defend them—in our institutions, communities and international partnerships. The Brazilian people have given the world a powerful reason for hope. Our responsibility is to carry that hope forward by making democracy deliver dignity, opportunity and a meaningful voice for everyone.

You go girl 👏🏿
Last week in Cologne I showed how you can use the GitHub Copilot App and Foundry to build an agent you can deploy across Teams, Outlook or an app of your choice.
I also showed how you can integrate our new Decision 1 model for intent classification. I'm interested in agents that can recognise intent and then take action independetly if they decide they can be helpful, so this was fun to show!
