I called 911 once for someone reacting to allergy shots. I had given Epi x2 and the EMT asked me WHY!? Bc she wasn’t having throat swelling. But was having hives all over, shortness of breath and vomiting. 2+ organ systems = EPI EPI EPI!!
Anaphylaxis is a progressive allergic reaction involving TWO or more organ systems.
You do not need to see throat swelling/airway compromise to treat.
Epinephrine is the ONLY effective treatment. It is safe, works fast & treats all symptoms.
#Twosday is fitting for allergies!
