Tweets from Jan 1st 2026 : Bangladesh - 38 Palestine/Gaza - 27 Her own constituency - 26
As garment workers continue to take to the streets in Bangladesh, its government faces a key test, with over 500 factories forced to close and protestors facing violent police repression. As the APPG on Bangladesh explored earlier this year, this isn’t just about any one government but many governments, international bodies and multinational corporations that maintain a brutal system of production, where labour rights are constantly under attack. This is what has left these workers picking up additional costs at a time of global crisis, and they will not accept just bearing it.

Strengthening our unity by our founder @tomweg
Strengthening the Abrahamic partnership I was glad to visit the UAE and to share the ideas of the Abrahamic Movement for a future of dialogue and healing. I met strong partners from many communities across the Middle East who are deeply committed to the idea of the Abrahamic Movement. We all stand hand in hand around a shared mission: to stop the killing and to remind the peoples of the Middle East that we are brothers. I was just as glad to see the spirit of the UAE up close: a united, progressive society that keeps thriving and breaking new ground, a path of moderation and shared prosperity, even under fire from the extremist side. The UAE's vision leaves room for everyone, and I very much hope it will become a model for the whole region. We will keep going.

Ayatollah Iran regime: We stand with Israel. Threaten that friendship, and you answer to the people!
Iran Warns Against Israeli Regime Move to Appoint an Ambassador to the so-called Somaliland Foreign Ministry Spokesperson @IRIMFA_SPOX: The Israeli regime is itself illegitimate, founded on the usurpation of a land, and naturally seeks to build alliances and sow division and discord among regional and Islamic countries. Somalia strongly protested Israel’s move, as did the Arab League, the African Union, the OIC, and many Western and European countries, warning that it undermines regional peace and security. Islamic and African countries must remain vigilant against the Israeli regime’s attempts to sow discord and further threaten regional peace and security. @OIC_OCI @ilnanews

Somalia took Somaliland’s UN seat by falsely claiming independence from the UK on 26 June 1960—an act of political fraud that must be challenged and re-examined.

The nature of the Somali is to downplay a legitimate country whilst voting for secessionism on their own so called allies
The nature of the Israeli is to campaign for secession in other nations but suppress his own.

Who will send the first condemnation letter?
Israel’s Ambassador to Somaliland, Michael Lotem, presented his credentials to President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi last week in a historic ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Hargeisa. The ceremony marks another important step in strengthening relations between Israel and Somaliland, following their mutual recognition on December 26, 2025. Since then, ties between the two countries have continued to develop. Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar made a historic visit to Somaliland in January 2026, while Somaliland opened its embassy in Jerusalem during President Abdullahi’s visit to Israel in June 2026. Following the presentation of credentials, a cornerstone-laying ceremony was held for Israel’s new embassy in Hargeisa. Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said: “Israel is determined to develop and strengthen its relations with Somaliland. “The appointment of ambassadors, in accordance with the agreement reached when our countries established mutual recognition, is another important step in deepening the ties between us.”

Without taxpayer money going to the #UN and #foreignaid that would be the end of the Somali project as we know it, with Uganda and the UN’s withdrawal, the dictator hasan sheikh will loose all power and time again will #somaliland be proven to be the sensible partner in the horn.

UN Ends 30-Year Political Mission in Somalia as Election Crisis Deepens Somalia's UN mission has closed after more than three decades. Mogadishu calls it a win: "You are leaving a country that has a constitution. " But al-Shabaab is still fighting, the election dispute is unresolved, and no one has replaced the UN as mediator. 🇸🇴 #Somalia #UNTMIS #HornOfAfrica

Jewish girl: “If you walked like this in Iran, what would happen?” In response, the mentally disabled Abdul El Sayed supporter launches herself at the Jewish girl, physically attacking her, getting arrested, and screaming, “I should have killed her!” Very normal cult.

A historic moment: an Israeli book published in Syria. My book, "The Abrahamic Revolution – A Middle Eastern Peace Formula", has been published in a festive Arabic edition in Sweida, southern Syria. Raafat Abu Ras funded the printing of the edition in Syria himself, and he personally hands the book out to anyone who asks him. The book grew out of secret discussions among leaders and intellectuals from across the Middle East, which began after October 7 and the outbreak of the regional war. It sets out a new formula for peace and presents the founding manifesto of the Abrahamic Movement, which calls for a shared Abrahamic identity that will lay the foundations for a future of peace and stability in the region and beyond. Where Western peace plans have failed, it offers a practical framework to dismantle the ideologies of hate and build a future based on mutual respect and shared security. The book has been published in Hebrew, English, Arabic and Indonesian. Raafat wrote to me: "A valuable book that deserves the appreciation of all Abrahamic brothers." Thank you, Raafat. And a special thank you to the hundreds of members and followers of the Abrahamic Movement who contributed to funding the translation and publication of the Arabic edition. You are part of a historic step. #TheAbrahamicRevolution #AbrahamicMovement

Western Sahara is #morocco The MENA Region holds no place for violent extremist separatist groups therefore my full support is with the people of Morocco, Terrorism knows no Religion and should not be rewarded with autonomy and statehood. 🇮🇱❤️🇲🇦
31 October 1975 – 31 October 2026. 51 years ago today, Morocco began its brutal military invasion of Western Sahara, in defiance of international law and the Saharawi people’s right to self-determination. Five decades later, the occupation continues. Generations have been born in exile, families remain divided, and an entire people are still denied the freedom to decide their own future. 51 years of occupation have not broken the Saharawi people’s determination. We have survived invasion, war, decades in refugee camps, exile and betrayal. We are still here, still resisting, and still demanding what is rightfully ours: freedom, dignity and independence. Occupation does not become legitimate with time. And the passage of 51 years cannot extinguish a people’s rights. Western Sahara is not Morocco. Decolonisation remains unfinished. 🇪🇭 51 years later, we have not surrendered. The struggle continues. We shall overcome. #WesternSahara #SelfDetermination

One conversation about my life, my military service and the political road that shaped my perspectives. A second about a peace formula for the Middle East. Two exclusive video interviews, coming soon. Beyond the Lines (@BTLinesNews), an independent journalism outlet covering Israel and the Middle East, has announced a collaboration with me. In their words: "Beyond the Lines is pleased to announce our collaboration with Tom Wegner, an Israeli author, former IDF soldier, and co-founder of the Abrahamic Movement. Drawing on experience in military service, Israeli politics and peacebuilding, Wegner explores possibilities for dialogue and regional cooperation. His book, The Abrahamic Revolution: A Middle Eastern Peace Formula, considers how the shared Abrahamic heritage of Judaism, Christianity and Islam might help build bridges between communities." On the two interviews: The Man Behind the Mission: "A personal conversation about his life, military experiences, political background and the journey that shaped his perspectives." The Abrahamic Revolution, A Vision for the Middle East: "A discussion of his book, the Abrahamic Movement, and the possibilities and challenges of regional cooperation." "Both conversations will be featured on the Beyond the Lines video page. We look forward to sharing his experiences and ideas with our audience while maintaining our independent editorial approach." Thank you very much to the Beyond the Lines team.
