Became a father on Father’s Day. This year will be tough to top.

“I just spoke to my agents, and since I’m listed as a 4-star and the reason we committed is now out the door, we are going to decommit from Maryland.”
🚨BREAKING🚨 2028 4-star RB Jerome Larue has decommitted from Maryland, @adamgorney reports.

.@TigerLacrosse coach Matt Madalon has informed his team that he is no longer a candidate for the SMU head coaching position and has recommitted to Princeton for the 2027 season and beyond, multiple sources tell @Inside_Lacrosse.
Back on the fields tomorrow with @CoachCampanile for the first of several weeks in a row of fall event coverage for @Prep_Lacrosse.
First up: the top 2030s at @Ml8Events’ The Spotlight in DE
Sunday: @Inside_Lacrosse ID Experience to see 28s and 29s (and the good people of IL)
Please be next, BC.
It is hilarious that this happened before @BCEagles and everyone in New England knows it.
Holy pet peeve. I’ll gladly join you on this crusade and have complained about it to anybody who listens.
If someone told me that more than 30% of the 2028 recruits who posted their commitments this fall incorrectly used 28’ instead of ’28, I’d believe it.
Exciting day for lacrosse for a multitude of reasons. 🐎
It’s hard to see how this doesn’t bring us closer to NCAA Tournament expansion. That’s the potential trickle-down effect and a massive step in the right direction.

Princeton middie Tucker Wade has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal as a grad student, I'm told.
The first-team All-American's absence was conspicuous when the Portal opened 15 days ago. I do not think the timing is coincidental.
The 2026-27 @NCAALAX Transfer Portal opens to grad students on Oct. 1.
Those who enter are largely looking to transfer for the 2027-28 school year, i.e. the ’28 spring season.
As of 9:30 a.m., there are 50 players in the @Inside_Lacrosse Portal Tracker: insidelacrosse.com/article/d…

SMU wasn't making a secret of their interest in doing this, but good to see it out in the open. The reported $20 million raise is interesting. In most past situations where P4 schools have looked into adding they wanted an amount that would fully endow the program, which is at least twice that.
SMU shifted their efforts into high gear this fall to add varsity men's lacrosse.
The effort comes as the Mustangs hope to compete in the 2028 spring season and take advantage of the many Ivy League seniors in the Transfer Portal.

.@LoyolaMLAX adds a second @Prep_Lacrosse Top 100 recruit to a loaded defensive class: No. 98 junior Andrew Hojnacki of New Canaan (Conn.) and @EclipseLacrosse. Rangy at 6’4 and checking a lot of boxes, Hojnacki earned All-American honors with the Rams and was steady all summer.
Spent the AM at the final games to cap off Year 15 of @Project9Lax. Here are this year’s award winners:

BREAKING: Three Mexican men have been found guilty of murdering Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson, alongside their American friend Carter Rhoad, during a 2024 surfing trip in Baja California, Mexico.
Following a grueling five week trial in Ensenada, Judge Raúl Hernández Arellano delivered the verdict without a jury.
Jesus Gerardo, alias “El Kekas” Irineo Francisco, and Angel Jesus were found guilty of aggravated homicide, aggravated robbery, violent robbery, and violent vehicle theft.
The three tourists vanished in late April 2024 while camping at a remote surf spot. Their bodies, and that of a local farmer, were later recovered from the bottom of a well, all having suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
The prosecution successfully proved the tragedy was a robbery that went awry, presenting heartbreaking evidence that the victims begged for mercy before they were killed, which the murderers later mocked.
The victims' parents, Debra and Martin Robinson, courageously attended every single day of the trial.
On Thursday, they endured six hours of closing arguments sitting just a metre away from their sons’ killers, who wore orange prison jumpsuits.
The parents are now preparing to fly home to Perth, Australia.
Jake Robinson, 31, was a dedicated doctor about to begin a new hospital role in Geelong, while Callum Robinson, 32, was a talented professional lacrosse player who had been living in San Diego.
Life is very cheap in 3rd world countries.
Food for thought for Anthony Albanese when it comes to his immigration policy.

This take is gross.
I don't care if you're an NFL hall of famer or a just a kid in school. Taking your mental health issues seriously is crucial. Finding someone to talk to changed my life, it saves lives every day. Don't suffer in the name of some bullshit toughness mantra.
