Drop 1/15: Introducing Joy, a dual-channel conversational dataset.
Real, unscripted conversations between two people, each on their own track. Built to teach voice models how people actually talk: when to listen, when to jump in, when to say “hmm”.
100,000 hours.
50,000 speakers.
10 languages.

More and more, image models get ranked by human vote. A vote can miss that your font changed.
Today @DavidZats and I are releasing VybBench, an open benchmark that scores design fidelity with numbers instead of votes. Ask a model to change one headline and it can nudge your font, shift your blue and redraw a corner of your logo too. Each edit changes a little more, until the design isn't yours.
VybBench scores each piece:
145 fonts, matched pixel by pixel against the real font
100 hex codes, scored on how far each color drifts
200 small edits, scored on how many pixels changed, with a judge checking the edit was made
We are not including model scores in the post, but you can see how each model scores on the Hugging Face. Every prompt, output, judge verdict and the scorer is on Hugging Face, link in the reply.
Full Disclosure: At @cocoailabs we also build Vyb - our first design model built to preserve design fidelity and taste.

I hired a retention researcher and gave him 12 brands to look at.
One request: please come back with something better than "send them 15% off."
His name is Viktor. He's an AI employee, and I gave him the assignment in Slack.
I wanted to understand what brands were doing to give customers a reason to buy again. Refill flexibility, product education, guarantees, something beyond another coupon with a countdown timer.
He came back in about 10 minutes with a Second Order Library and three experiments to consider. Saved 10+ hours of doing the same research myself.
• A replenishment reminder based on when someone should actually run out.
• A guarantee that makes trying a second product feel less risky.
• A specific gift on order two, introduced while the customer is still excited about order one.
Each proposal included who should get it, what to compare it against, and what to measure, with margin called out where it could bite. We do enjoy keeping some of the money.
The part I appreciated: he separated what he found on brand websites from what he thought we should test. He also flagged what he couldn't verify.
Seeing another brand do something doesn't mean it works. It gives you a hypothesis.
Now I have three test plans to evaluate and the research behind them, in one place.
Not bad for a morning's work.
If you have a research backlog of your own, hire @viktor_com for your team. Free to start, no credit card.

I launched the first image and video generation models at Google, and kept asking why all AI designs look the same.
AI has brought us the WORST era of design.
It made content creation effortless, but it also made 90% of it look painfully generic.
My co-founder and I spent 2 years building in stealth to change that.
Meet Vyb, the first AI design model that understands your taste like a designer would.
RT + comment your website URL and we’ll make your first design.

We already process tens of trillions of tokens a month because we understand consumer AI different, and we've built our inference from the ground up for it.
Today, the inference top consumer AI apps run on is opening up.

A new open-weight model ships every couple of days, and post-training lets any team turn a base model into its own.
So will teams run more models or fewer a year from now? OpenRouter's Peter Walker moderates RadixArk, Liquid AI and MiniMax on exactly that at DigitalOcean's Open Intelligence Summit today, Serve track from 2:15pm PT.
My bet is more models, each smaller and doing one job, because teams want to swap a model in without rebuilding everything around it.
Where do you land?

Ask anyone what the hardest part of learning a language was. Most will say speaking, because it always needed a person on the other side.
That just changed. Here's what it means for learners, teachers, schools and the teams building for them.

I mapped 10K founders and indie hackers across 143 countries.
▎ Building alone is lonely.
▎ Finding founders in your domain is even harder.
▎ And every "let's connect" thread on X dies in a week.
So I built a place where builders can actually find each other.
Startups are hard. You don't have to do it alone.
@tibo_maker already gave me feedback: “The video is pretty good honestly.” That’s huge validation from a legend!
another legend @marclou I need your support! I want to add the TrustMRR APIs to this project btw I’m already using your data analysis platform for this project.

Today, we're launching Typeless for Linux.
Typeless is now available on Mac, Windows, iOS, Android — and Linux.
The Linux app brings the full Typeless desktop experience, with all the core features available on Mac.
But this launch is about more than adding another platform.
For us, every new platform is another step toward a bigger goal: making voice the default way for people to interact with computers — wherever they think, create, and work.
For decades, the keyboard has been the default interface between our thoughts and computers.
And we've gotten so used to it that we rarely question the friction.
Thoughts come fast, messy, and nonlinear.
Before you communicate them, you normally have to turn them into sentences in your head first.
Then you slow everything down again to type.
We built Typeless to remove both layers of friction.
With Typeless, you can just think out loud.
Follow your thoughts wherever they go. Change your mind halfway through. Add context later. Repeat yourself. Speak imperfectly.
Typeless turns that messy stream of thought into clear, polished writing in real time.
It removes filler words and repetition, structures your ideas, adapts to your writing style, understands your personal vocabulary, and gives you writing that fits the app you're working in.
You can:
• Dictate — turn messy thoughts into clear writing, 4x faster than typing
• Translate — speak in your language and write naturally in another
• Ask anything — use your voice to write from scratch, or select text to edit it, ask questions, and take actions
• Build your dictionary — names, acronyms, and specialized terms get recognized correctly
• Personalize your style — Typeless learns how you write and adapts to where you're writing
• Speak 100+ languages — including naturally mixing languages while you talk
And it's private by design.
Linux users tend to be some of the people who spend the most time interacting deeply with computers.
Developers. Engineers. Researchers. Builders.
They should be able to use voice as naturally on Linux as anywhere else.
Our long-term belief is simple:
Voice will become the default way people interact with computers.
Not because speaking is merely faster than typing.
But because voice gives us a way to communicate with computers much closer to the speed and form in which thoughts actually happen.
To us, that's what real freedom in computing looks like: expressing what you mean without adapting how you think.
And for that future to happen, it can't belong to one device, one operating system, or one workflow.
It has to be available wherever you work.
Linux. Mac. Windows. iOS. Android.
One interface, wherever you work.
Typeless for Linux is here.
