St. Theophan says lies “used to cautiously hide from the gaze of Christian believers,” but now they walk openly, confidently, in the streets. This is both a testimony to the dangerous times we are living in, and that we as Christians are the ones who allow it.

“Christianity is nothing but a call to a lifelong struggle against the devil and death until final victory. Every sin is a betrayal, every passion a retreat, and every evil a defeat.

"Halloween is an occasion for impure entertainment. It is enjoyed by people who look for fun at almost any cost.
Christianity, by contrast, is sober rather than gloomy. It is life-affirming rather than morbid. It cares about truth rather than myths. It is focused on the inner change and correction of the person so that he or she can be freed from the grip of the passions. It is concerned with real freedom and with moral beauty—the kind of beauty that will save the world."

"Halloween is a pagan feast. You put horns on your child—an angel? You mask him, you mock him at a pagan feast? My brothers, listen to what I tell you: one does not joke with God. Children are angels! And if we mock them, we mock the angels of God. And God is very angry with us.”

Ima "No" on women's ordination & Orthodox celebrating Halloween. These positions used to be acceptable, if not commonplace. These days, not so much. My position affects no one's free will.
