The greatest comeback in history wasn’t a victory on a battlefield. It was the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The tomb is empty. Death is defeated. JESUS IS ALIVE! ✝️🙏❤️

My nephew Trae underwent his second kidney transplant in his short 18 year life. A very rare 1 in a million issue.
I talk a lot of smack about Iowa. Reality is they have an outstanding head coach. He made a point to visit with Trea after both surgeries. Thanks Coach Kirk!

Taylor Stremlow may or may not be in the starting lineup, but she’ll be an “exemplary” captain either way. Iowa basically has 4 starting-caliber guards for 3 spots in Wright, Carnegie, Stremlow & Whiting (who has started all 97 games in 3 years of college).

Caitlin Clark signed to play basketball, not supervise fans.
A platform is not a leash for everybody else's behavior.
She hoops. Grown fans need to hold themselves accountable.

I hope Caitlin Clark enjoys the offseason, truly. She’s earned some time away from those who lie about her character, while also ignoring the fact that the massive attention she receives, good and bad, is because — *holds breath* — she’s really good at basketball.
What a crime!

Caitlin Clark mentioned today that she’s been in the spotlight for six years. Imagine your entire life being dissected for SIX YEARS, and the worst thing we can honestly say about you is that you’re mean to refs.
Not too shabby when you leave out the moronic mental gymnastics!

It’s just infuriating to continue having these cyclical conversations. Sure, Caitlin Clark is not perfect. But flagrantly mischaracterizing her beliefs — which she’s repeatedly said and shown — is, again, an indictment on what you’re holding in YOUR heart. Not hers.

“Well, her fans …”
For the millionth time, those AREN’T her fans.
Now, I do empathize with the players on her team who’ve had to deal with this wide-spread idiocy.
But it’s like some of you are asking Caitlin Clark to fix racism in America. Do you know how stupid that sounds?

I don’t understand this attempt to “hold her accountable,” which is really just a weird obsession many of you have with finding some “gotcha” moment that isn’t there.
What the heck is going through your head to make you think Caitlin Clark is a closeted racist or bigot?

Caitlin Clark has spoken out against racism, bigotry and other forms of hatred numerous times, yet it’s never enough.
When she speaks, people either pretend they don’t hear it or pick through Every. Single. Word. to say, “Well, actually …”
Well, actually what?!

Replying to @kenswift
Many of us who support CC are Black, and this discussion enrages me, because Caitlin herself is trying to squash the media and online racial discourse. Cari seems to want it to continue though, because she thinks the narrative helps her personally. Disgraceful.

🚨 JASON WHITLOCK, THE CAITLIN CLARK GRIFT IS GETTING EMBARRASSING.
@jasonwhitlock barely talked about Caitlin Clark until recently. At first, it was praise — recognizing her greatness and what she was doing for women’s basketball.
Then apparently somebody discovered something:
OUTRAGE GETS CLICKS.
Suddenly Caitlin isn’t the story anymore. Her FANS are a “cult.” Every controversy becomes another opportunity to antagonize the same audience you know will react.
Funny how quickly the content changed once attacking Clark and her supporters became profitable engagement.
At your grown age, you’ve turned a 24-year-old basketball player and her fanbase into a content strategy.
Praise her when it pays.
Attack her when THAT pays.
Inflame her fans.
Collect the engagement.
Repeat.
That’s not fearless commentary. That’s rage-bait with a business model.
And the irony? You criticize Caitlin Clark “cultists” while seemingly depending on those EXACT PEOPLE to keep clicking your content.
If Caitlin and her fans are supposedly so unbearable, Jason…
WHY CAN’T YOU STOP TALKING ABOUT THEM?
Because outrage pays the bills.

Final take:
There's something ironic about today.
Some of the same people saying they're standing up for female athletes are spending the day attacking a female athlete.
They're calling her weak, spineless, a coward, a sellout...because she didn't give the answer they wanted.
You don't have to agree with Caitlin Clark's decision to stay out of the debate.
But if your way of "supporting women" is publicly tearing one down for refusing to be your spokesperson, it's worth asking what you're really trying to accomplish. – at Byron, MN
