A fascinating and heartwarming view into the sights, sounds, and vibe of 1930s pub goers in London. A wonderful moment captured in time where one can not help but smile at the sound of laughter. The Anchor in London’s Somers Town (located at 130 Chalton Street) was a well-known interwar "reformed pub" that was opened in 1929 by Anglo-Catholic priest Father Basil Jellicoe and Edith Neville. It was created to combat slum poverty and served food and beer without spirits. This establishment welcomed whole families. Unfortunately, though the building still stands, it closed in 1984 before being converted into flats ⏳️🍻 @Britains___Pubs
