The Election Commission has filed its reply in the Supreme Court to the petition on how the three-member Commission functions.
27 pages, approved by all three members. Its argument: every decision was unanimous, and a Commissioner’s note is a “suggestion,” not a decision.
Here’s what it addresses, and what it doesn’t.

You know how narrative-setting works:
Grave reports of Vote Chori, compromised borders, submitting to the US, no mention of/effective action against China....
BUT
Kharge uttered something, and, aah, it's raining advice for the opposition, and it's Advantage Modi.
Good bye Jogen da.
Once upon a time, my brother Biren & I wrote to Jogen Chowdhury after seeing his work in the Illustrated Weekly of India. He replied warmly and expressed surprise that we wrote to an artist and not an actor.
He sent this on my wedding with a letter.

What ISRO chief does to rockets, Sudhir does to Modi: lifting to sky.
And Modi with all his failures is much heavy to lift.
Its rocket science Mr @hvgoenka

To every trader in Delhi: We love you and hear you.
The Govt shut the metro, sealed our roads and locked down our capital.
With a stolen vote nothing is safe - your shop, your savings, your children’s future.
Tell Modi to sack accused no. 4, Gyanesh Kumar and the protests will stop in 30 seconds.

At least 61,059 Form-7 applications seeking the deletion of names from Karnataka’s electoral rolls were filed by election officials themselves, with not a single application mentioning a reason for the deletion, a mandatory requirement under the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960.

dm for ordering.
Anarchy is what the government unleashed with the help of Gyanesh Kumar and a part of the judiciary, completely compromising the election process.
And in a classic propaganda manner, the govt is accusing the protestors of spreading anarchy.

Such a garbled way of saying that Chinese have come inside the Indian territory in Arunachal and despite our talks with them, they are refusing to leave. And we will continue to keep the Indian citizens in dark by spouting this gobbledygook.
VIDEO | Delhi: Addressing a press conference, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal says, "As we have noted in the past, the situation in the India-China border areas gets disturbed from time to time when Chinese forces deviate from established patrolling patterns. Both sides continue to use existing diplomatic and military mechanisms to resolve outstanding issues and avoid misunderstandings and miscalculations along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The two sides have also agreed to discuss ways to improve their understanding of the LAC in appropriate areas for better border management. I would also like to emphasise that the maintenance of peace and tranquillity in the border areas is essential for the overall development of bilateral relations."

In September, @IndianExpress' investigation revealed that two Election Commissioners had written separately to the Cabinet Secretary seeking action against a senior officer inside the EC.
What happened to those letters is now on record.
File notings obtained under RTI by Commodore Lokesh Batra (retd) show the Cabinet Secretariat discussed the letters on August 3 & 4, then decided to do nothing beyond acknowledging them.
The reasoning? Sandhu and Joshi had written in their individual capacity, not as the Commission.
“In the absence of any official communication from the Commission as a whole, any action at this stage may be inappropriate. It may also be construed as interference in the functioning of the Constitutional Body.”
The Commission, as our investigation has shown, had not met as a full body for FOUR months.

There is a lot of hype around Marco Rubio's visit. One can also see that the US is coercing the Indian govt and private sector both into making a larger deal. The bigger picture is Rubio and Trump are trying to push for a comprehensive agreement with India going beyond trade. All this is happening in the midst of a Cabinet minister being exposed for his "deeper links" with Epstien. The US wants unprecedented access to the Indian market in order to export their products($500 billion in 5 years) and is also seeking massive private capital investment from India in the US and vassal states like Venezuela. Iam not too sure if Reliance Industries would want to invest billions in Venezuela which has been a graveyard for US oil majors like Cheveron and ConocoPhillips because of unstable politics over decades. There no guarantee how geopolitics will play out in Venezuela under Trump in the future. Mukesh Ambani will obviously seek guarantees. Things are not as simple as they seem. There remains a huge risk in putting big money in Venezuela. Beside, India is today suffering a drought of private capital, both domestic and foreign. Yet Trump wants big capital coming from capital scarce India. This is totally counter intuitive and makes little economic sense. Imagine the overall impact of India reducing its trade surplus with US while simultaneously funneling more private capital to that country. This strategy fits Marco Rubio's famous statement at the Munich conference that the West should feel no guilt about its colonial past and remake its future accordingly.
