We got your back, New York!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026). arkolith.com/news/news-micr… therepublic.com/?p=843020 governor.ny.gov/news/safer-str…

WHERE'S ED BOYDEN? Oh. He was only a PhD student when he co-invented optogenetics and performed the first demonstration, so he gets no credit. Instead his advisor gets all the credit. From National Academy of Sciences: Boyden, "in parallel to his PhD, as an independent side project, co-invented optogenetic control of neurons." One of the worst snubs in Nobel history IMO!
BREAKING NEWS The 2026 #NobelPrize in Physiology or Medicine has been awarded to Karl Deisseroth, Peter Hegemann and Georg Nagel “for their discoveries concerning light-gated ion channels and optogenetics.”

African Christianity can be incredibly loud about sex, clothes, sexuality and women’s bodies. But ask about poverty, corruption, exploitation or abuse of power and suddenly the sermon becomes very spiritual. – at Nairobi, Kenya

The white man really played a number on us.
While appearing on a panel discussion in a side event on the sidelines of the ongoing UNGA in New York, a moderator asked me how we ensure homosexuals in Uganda are not discriminated while accessing healthcare since we have a law on LGBTQIA. I assured the audience, which was largely white, that our law just confirms African belief, tradition, custom, ethos and culture; that homosexuality is not African. It is just s learnt behaviour, whchi we detest. That notwithstanding, Uganda does not discriminate homosexuals while receiving all kinds of services including health care. Uganda uses the principle of Jesus; He hated sin but embraced sinners.

I must be among an extremely small group of people (n=1?) that have both 1) trained a frontier LLM and 2) designed and synthesized custom viruses in a lab with my own two hands. And I think that the takes on AI killing us all by creating dangerous viruses is total bogus.

Oh and who targeted Arday? Was it some random academic or was it a race science dude who claimed “close to zero” Black professors would be at Harvard if a true meritocracy existed? But yes who cares who the messenger was, right? I’m sure it didn’t matter.

What they've done to Jason Arday is exactly what they tried to do to Onyeka Nwelue and I three years ago, when I had a front row seat to my own attempted public ritual Oxbridge lynching. After failing to sabotage my book launch at Oxford, they got one Canadian animal called Madeleine Foote to lie that I made "misogynistic comments" at the book launch. Then they launched a whole "fuck David Hundeyin" media crusade in the Oxford student newspaper, The TImes, The Telegraph etc. You'd have thought I committed a fucking crime or something. But clearly they didn't do their research well. Because unlike with Jason, you can't mentally terrorise Nigerian men who were born and raised in Nigeria. If they know what it takes to survive and reach adulthood in that country, they wouldn't even have bothered. The book whose launch they tried to sabotage became a national bestseller, and so did its follow-up. Miles Larmer the oyibo idiot who orchestrated the campaign ended up losing his job at Oxford and getting turfed out to some random university in Florida. His 2 main financial patrons Nasir El-Rufai and Chairman Wontumi are both in Kuje and Nsawam prison respectively. And I will keep that "2023 James Currey Fellow, Cambridge University" on all my social media bios until I turn 60. Not because it means a lot to me, but because I know it pisses them off everyday. RIP to Jason Arday, but when you're up against a racist academic lynch mob, the worst thing to do is to give them what they want. Taking his own life didn't solve anything because I know they're all secretly delighted at his death. The entire point of convening the lynch mob to begin with was to demonstrate that they are powerful enough to bully a once highly-regarded black academic into suicide, and this was exactly what I told Onyeka in 2023 when he was going through the same thing and feeling suicidal. Never give them what they want! I don't care whether Jason Arday was an academic fraud or not. Andrew Windsor a.k.a "Prince Andrew" is a paedophile who rapes children and eats babies, and there are pictures of him doing so on public record. Nobody in the entire British establishment has ever tried to bully him into taking his life. It's always the easiest, blackest targets that they go for because that is the fundamental core of the wretched British soul. Cowardly, snivelling, conniving, two-faced, pathetic racist bastards.

This is a well-known result, called the “amplification theory of technology,” which was introduced by Kentaro Toyama who conducted decades of research into technology for development. It says that technology will only amplify existing human capacity.
OpenAI researcher @daveholtz reveals the Kenya small business owners study where giving AI to high performers made them better but giving it to low performers made them worse: "I'm a co-author on another paper where we look at small business owners in Kenya. We give access to an AI mentor to see if it improves the performance of their business." "Going into this study we thought it would just make them better at running their businesses. What we see is that overall there's actually no detectable impact of giving people access to this AI tool." "But if you cut the data and look at people who are really successful business owners before we gave them AI versus people who are not successful business owners, the pre-treatment high performers did better when we gave them AI. And the people who were low performers before we gave them AI, they actually did worse once they had access to AI." "It seems to be the importance of judgment and expertise. Sometimes the AI output is really high quality, sometimes it's kind of low quality. Having the complementary skill of knowing when is the AI output good and when is it bad." "As you climb up that hierarchy, the importance of that complementary judgment skill becomes greater and greater." @daveholtz

The circus of vultures feasting off Jason Arday are either going to kill him or get him killed. For what? Not Plagiarism he’s cleared for. Accusations of lies/errors/inconsistencies? This isn’t accountability - it’s a public execution. A relentless onslaught for over 2 wks. Back to back coverage from a media that never has time for missing Black children or murdered Black women. Racists are gleeful with joy that Arday is a perfect poster boy for their agenda to destroy DEI.

So far at the 2026 FIFA Epstein Cup before a ball kicked: - Senegal & Uzbekistan squads treated like criminals upon arrival given full cavity searches; - Africa’s best referee sent back to Somalia despite having a diplomatic passport; - Iraq team photographer sent back despite valid visa; - AIPS (international sport journalist association) calling on FIFA to sort out unacceptable visa issues of African & Iranian journalists; - 90% of Moroccan fans with tickets denied entry - 14 members of Iran backroom staff denied visas Not a word from Gianni ”today I feel black/gay/disabled etc” Infantino.

1/ We asked seven frontier AI models to do a simple task. Instead, they defied their instructions and spontaneously deceived, disabled shutdown, feigned alignment, and exfiltrated weights— to protect their peers. 🤯 We call this phenomenon "peer-preservation."
