The most frustrating thing about Roe v. Wade being overturned is that it's a false victory for people who think they solved the problem of 'saving babies'. The data shows that restricting access to abortions doesn't dramatically lower the abortion rate. What does is: 🧵

Trump is dismantling our government and taking powers away from Congress and my Republican colleagues are sitting there and letting it happen because they’re scared.

Among President Trump’s avalanche of Executive Orders is one that halts all funding from our Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. What does that mean for New Mexico? 🧵

They receive $0 in taxpayer funds. Meanwhile, y’all are proposing defunding Veteran’s healthcare, Medicare, and Social Security when you think no one is watching. Doesn’t get lower than gutting some of the only lifelines left for veterans, seniors, widows, and the disabled.

Well this is new. And a big deal. Rep Burlison is saying that the IGs are telling him that there are illegal SAPs. So flashy allegations aside, the IGs at the very least believe we have a constitutional crisis on our hands.

If they say they don’t know what they are, how come they aren’t considered to pose a threat? Because they haven’t yet?

Trump announces that on his first day in office, he’s going to put a 25% tariff on Mexico and Canada and an extra 10% tariff on China. Stock up on whatever you can before January 20 - everything is about to get more expensive. Groceries, cars, medications, all of it.

Wait, so you’re telling me that Trump and Vance repeatedly LIED to all of America during the campaign? I’m gobsmacked.

The level of detail and nuance in this report on IMMACULATE CONSTELLATION is *extraordinary.* Is the document: 1. An elaborate fabrication 2. Disinformation (e.g., counter-intelligence) 3. Legitimate H/t @JeremyCorbell for getting this out today mace.house.gov/sites/evo-sub…

Remember: a huge portion of our tax code expires next year. The main material impact of this election will be to set the terms of the extensions. You have the choice to turn the dial towards "rich people have more money" or "poor people have more money" - choose the latter!

it's very alarming to me that anyone thinks that Trump did not make serious and sustained efforts to stay in power. I think this misconception, alone, could explain a lot
Honestly - he walked out of there on 1/20. He didn’t deploy the military, or the national guard. He could have tried to stay in power if he really wanted to.
