New model performance gains are substantial but the visual hit is also clear with weaker ambient occlusion and materials handling

👤 A goodbye to Character Edit Vouchers 👤
With the launch of Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance in 2027, all players will be able to re-edit the appearance of their hunter and Palico as many times as they like, free of charge and without the need for a Character Edit Voucher, which will be removed from the game.
From Thursday, Dec. 3 2026, Character Edit Vouchers will no longer be available for purchase. Instead, 10 Character Edit Vouchers and 10 Palico Edit Vouchers will be distributed to players for free, for you to use until the release of Ascendance.
Additionally, as a token of our appreciation to everyone who has previously paid for Character Edit Vouchers, we will distribute the Special Thank-You Pendant Set, which can be claimed in-game starting from Dec. 3 2026 by players who purchased any of the following:
– Character & Palico Edit Voucher: Three-Voucher Pack
– Character Edit Voucher: Three-Voucher Pack
– Palico Edit Voucher: Three-Voucher Pack

Being able to judge time and resource investment and allocate accordingly to a mix of safe bets and experimental titles such that all can find at lest a chance at success is a difficult feat to accomplish, and is resulting in both success for the company and a lot of happy gamers of many stripes from casual to hardcore
As a gamer, it's great to see such an approach working out!
