The Belfast Trust has for the first time admitted it adopted an “adversarial attitude” towards both families and a public inquiry into the abuse of some of Northern Ireland’s most vulnerable patients. A three-page apology has now been issued to family members who took part in the Muckamore Abbey Hospital abuse inquiry - a move that a key campaigner said has been “wrung out” of the organisation after years of stonewalling. Tell your children about Glynn Brown. Not golf, not football. A father, a warrior. Relentless in his search for the truth. Faced down a toxic, closed health care system which dismissed his claims of abuse and neglect of his beloved son Aaron. Not all heros wear capes.

Muckamore Abbey Hospital in Co Antrim, run by the Belfast Trust, provided care for adults with severe learning disabilities and mental health needs. The facility is at the centre of reports of widespread abuse of vulnerable patients by staff. The abuse included physical assaults that left some patients with broken bones, mental cruelty, excessive use of medication that left some patients “zombified,” and patients being locked away in “seclusion” as punishment. Replying to @TalkTV
@TalkTV paying substantial damages & making a public apology to Marcus Hunter-Neill is a huge vindication against the smear campaign targeting drag performers and LGBTQ+ people. People spreading lies - and politicians jumping on the bandwagon - should reflect on the outcome 🌈📚

Our client Lady Portia Di’Monte secures substantial settlement and public apology from TalkTV following defamation claim arising from drag queen story telling event. Our @vichaddock acts.
On 5 August 2025, during a broadcast of The Political Asylum and in posts on our X account, we published an unfounded allegation about Marcus Hunter-Neill, a drag performer known as Lady Portia Di'Monte. The publication related to his participation in a Drag Queen Storytime event at Holywood Arches Library in Belfast. We retract this allegation which we accept was without basis and apologise to Mr Hunter-Neill for the harm caused.

Debate on immigration always becomes toxic. Here are facts: - NI has 2.74% of total asylum seekers in UK - Undocumented people won't be able to access services or work and likely to be exploitated - there are no legal routes to UK to claim asylum
Replying to @s_marms
@s_marms says legal, illegal immigration and asylum seeking is not a black and white issue. #BBCTheView
