Introducing Tamagui 3. Now the fastest and highest coverage Tailwind style library there is, free or paid. Tamagui is now 100% open source, I’ve made Takeout and Bento OSS as well. A rewritten compiler in rust now makes native even faster, plus a new C++ native runtime avoids re-rendering. Flat style props, React Strict DOM, and a web-alignment push make Tamagui easier, lighter, and more familiar than ever. tamagui.dev/blog/version-thr…

Once we release Nix rewrite, I promise you it will make you stand up from the chair. I don't want to hype it, but it's really looking good. I've never thought I'd have the chance to ship this, but thanks to AI we can. It will have bugs, it will have rough edges.

It turns out that Kimi has vibe coded their authentication system and do not understand the basics of OAuth refresh and access tokens. @KimiDevs come on really? Who do I report this gaping security hole to?
It is so bad, I deliberately removed all logged in sessions 4 days ago, did not login again. Since weekly reset my usage is already drained... but I 0 active logins! Not a single Kimi Code session is active but I'm being charged for K3 usage. Absolute shit show. @KimiDevs

I strongly recommend to get Kimi K3 from ANY OTHER PROVIDER than @Kimi_Moonshot - logins are counted as usage, so much so that a token refresh will simply drain your account. For 1 month I've tried to explain this to support, but just give irrelevant copy paste answers.

Omarchy is blowing up. I've never been involved with anything in my career that has grown this fast. With Ruby on Rails, we had years to build solid institutions, teams, and relationships. With Omarchy, we've been forced to figure it all out in twelve days. It's exhausting, but also incredibly exciting. It was never sustainable with just Ryan and me running everything. That's how it was, more or less, up until Quattro. Lots of other contributors, but all the responsibility was on us to make sure the ship stayed afloat, the servers didn't crash, and fixes got pushed out quickly. Now it's time to build a proper institution. Durable, resilient, and competent. That's what we're doing here on Basecamp now. I'm spinning up teams for every facet of responsible distro management, and I'm getting an absolute outpouring of interest for all of them. Everyone wants to be part of this. We're winning hearts, minds, and volunteers at an astounding rate. Great! We need all of it to succeed. Because make no mistake: There are many people who'd love to see this rocket blow up before it reaches the moon. Aggrieved Linux users who don't like the sudden attention their exclusive hobby has received. Competing Linux distributions that are seeing our numbers explode. Mac stans who've sunk their identity into an apple. And, of course, any of the haters I've picked up in my quarter-century career speaking bluntly on the internet. They're not going to succeed. Because we've already become unstoppable. There's too much momentum, too much money, and too much support now backing this effort. We're living the Mandate From Heaven meme at the moment. And we are here to fulfill the prophecy: The Year of Linux on the Desktop! That has been a joke for two decades. But by the end of the year, nobody at Apple or Microsoft is going to be laughing. They're going to be scrambling. Because neither of these proud organizations currently has any method to counter the speed, vision, or ambition with which we're going to accelerate into the future of personal computing. This is the moment. This is the opening. This is our chance. For thirty years, we've been subject to one OS overlord or another. Dictating how we compute. Choking off competitors through platform malfeasance. Tollboothing the distribution. That ends now. Because Linux is going to win. And Linux is free. As in beer, speech, and source. But just because it's inevitable doesn't mean it's going to be easy. We have a lot of work in front of us if we actually want to make our mark. But there's never been a better time for this kind of delusional ambition. The age of agents is the unlocking factor. It sounds like a LinkedIn slogan, but it's true. Where the application of tokens goes, the innovation follows. We can fix everything. Let's do it together. Let's go. --- This is what I sent to the dozens of new volunteers who've signed up for teams within the new Omarchy organization yesterday. But we might as well broadcast our mission and intentions to the world too.

I'm not some cheap user who wants free tokens. I wanted to support Kimi and prepaid for 1 full year of Vivace, like an idiot! Have not been able to use K3 at all. Just 2000$ down the drain.

Check out a fully serverless database, no usage, no cost. github.com/replikativ/datahi… Lmk if you need help or have other requirements.
Latest EACL v8 Datahike Serverless demo @ <$1/year: - Try it out at: serverless-datahike.demo.eac… (us-east-1) - Cheaper Lambda: 1536MB -> 1024MB, -50% CPU. - Lower latency: avoid S3 GETs on each request, skip Cloudfront, EACL rearchitected to support Snapshots. - UI loads instantly via S3, waits for Lambda, and... - Lambda starts in 1-3s, thx @wh1lo! - Durable EACL cache to S3 Express on shutdown - Consistency Semantics UI: - `minimize-latency` = locally-consistent to Peer - `at-least-as-fresh` = "<N seconds> ago is fine" - `at-exact-snapshot` = time travel via `d/as-of`. - `fully-consistent` = `(d/sync conn)` - Cache population can now be toggled. Bonus: EACL has been ported to Jank (a Clojure dialect by @jeayewilkerson), backed by a toy in-memory Datomic clone. I hope to build my own Datomic-like backed by S3 for Jank over the next few months, so we get even faster startup on Lambda and cheap, scalable EAVT. If you want sophisticated AuthZ + Datomic / Datahike capabilities for under $1/year (total), then EACL + Datahike (S3) is a no-brainer for any Clojure project. Bear in mind, the latencies shown here are against a medium-sized, pathological schema to make EACL slow. For smaller datasets, EACL is typically sub-10ms or sub-1ms, query-dependent.

For 5 days I've been trying to get support to understand that a 7-day limit at 53% should not hit 100% in 5 minutes, especially if the 5-hour limit is not even hit. I keep getting the same templated answers @Kimi_Moonshot, how to report this bug? Makes my Vivace plan unusable.

This happened at less than 250K input tokens. 5 days I was unusable to do anything, after 1 prompt and no tool calls.

Did anyone else's @Kimi_Moonshot account get their chat support disabled after asking for a human?

What are tech companies that continue to operate as full-remote / remote-first? Given how return to office is so common across the industry: clearly those companies will have an easier time hiring (and probably also retaining)!
