This would be hilarious if it weren't so serious. The National Librarian clearly thinks it is okay to silence some women, those whose views don't chime with the narrative emanating from Bute House I presume.
The irony is in the lecture Amina Shah gave at Edinburgh University IWD 2024 which talks about the dangers to women and attempts to silence them.
βA sisterhood to support and encourage themβ, she said.
And the final insult, she goes on to say:
βEarlier today I was part of an inspirational programme of speakers talking about womenβs histories and how theyβve been erased.β

Deeply shocked by Israelβs deliberate killing of the Al Jazeera correspondent Anas al-Sharif, his colleague Mohammed Qreiqeh and cameramen Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal and Moamen Aliwa. Israel has now killed at least 186 journalists in the war.
