Wah wah, beliau meremehkan kemampuan prabowo dalam membawa Indonesia ke era kegelapan. Ga sopan ini
I’m weirdly optimistic about Indonesia when everyone is pessimistic.
Indonesia today reminds me of 2012-2014 China when everyone, including, myself was worried about the new autocrat in charge who was developing a strong cult of personality (Xi).
And the air, it was bad, just like Indonesia’s is today.
So why am I optimistic besides similarity to China which surprised the world with its great progress?
When I go to Indonesia, even though everyone I talk to wants Jokowi back, there is an optimism.
When I met with the government they said, with some confidence, “this is our time.”
And I see the government moving people around.
People need to get moved around and/or fired.
If that’s not happening; you have problems.
The worst may be far from over and Indonesia has way more problems than 2012 China did or at least different ones.
But I think they’ll surprise the extremely low expectations everyone has for them.

Antrian BBM parah di Bali, terus yang disalahin: kapal yang jangkarnya bermasalah & warga yang katanya panic buying. Saya cek catatan kapal BBM yang masuk ke pelabuhan Bali. Faktanya banyak yg ditutupi

The fuxk is he smoking?
Pernah ngobrol sama seorang kolega WNA yg bilang he'd rather live simple w low paying mundane jobs, away from the rat race. Asal bisa makan cukup.
I remember feeling offended 🙂 bcs, IMO, that kind of aspiration is built upon a sense of security ppl get from their gov & society

Reading a book in public is only performative to people that don’t read books. To a reader, every waiting room, park bench, train carriage, airport gate, and café table is another potential chapter.
