KOTM still ranks near the top cause @Mike_Dougherty has a unique reverence and message applied to Kaiju. He loves the monsters as characters with the vibe of the Heisei series but then applies a biblical message that encourages to humble in front of gods. #Godzilla

The simple answer is that American critics apply a different standard to this kinda IP. Its serious “Andor” Godzilla and thats an achievement for American fans. Whereas Godzilla is fun but either old hat or not considered high art to Japan.

Pretty sure the LANTERNS backlash is one of those times where it's a relatively tiny group of people who are just being super noisy On Here. We don't have to keep arguing about if it's okay to tweak Hal Jordan's story a bit for TV. It's okay.
