The AI era is the direct booking era and travel operators can win both. The surge we’re seeing in bookings coming from agents across the @Wander platform —both on wander.com and through the direct booking engines we power — is part of one of the largest technology shifts in human history.
The big OTAs are about to come under immense pressure. They charge too much for a mediocre-at-best guest experience and continually roll out worse policies for operators. Billions of annual ad spend isn’t going to save them when the agents working on behalf of humans are looking for the direct price that comes with a direct relationship.
Travel operators are realizing their direct price is a weapon. @Wander is the operator-first platform that empowers them to wield it. Operator-first is guest-first — unlocking lower prices, better service and a higher quality guest experience, so more people can experience the world.
