$75,000 a month for lobbying.
Another $150,000 a month for access to Washington.
And even Trump's congratulatory post on @X to Narendra Modi which Modi gleefully responded and the whole BJP 's ecosystem including "certain news anchors" labelled it Vishwaguru moment, appears in a lobbying firm's filings.
According to disclosed US lobbying records:
▪️ The Indian Embassy hired Mercury Public Affairs for $75,000 per month. Its filings list Trump's social media message congratulating Modi.
▪️ Another lobbying arrangement, worth $150,000 per month, involved strategic counsel, government relations and contacts with senior US officials.
▪️The disclosed engagements included calls involving senior White House and US administration officials.
The questions are very simple-
▪️The Modi government spending $225,000 a month on American lobbying firms, but what exactly are Indian taxpayers receiving in return?
▪️ What's the need of a paid congratulatory social media post from the US President ?

Ustad Bismillah Khan holds the rare distinction of having been honoured with all three Padma awards - Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan - as well as the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour.
Yet, even this extraordinary legacy could not save his ancestral house in Varanasi from being bulldozed.
Bismillah Sahab’s house was never just a house. It was a living piece of our national heritage, a repository of memories and a part of our shared cultural inheritance.
The walls that held history and deserved to be preserved as a national treasure have instead been reduced to rubble.
Ustad Bismillah Khan gave India a musical legacy that will endure for generations. His home deserved to be treated with the same reverence.
A hundred salutations to Bismillah Sahab. To the BJP, shame.

India’s economy is showing deep cracks. Youth unemployment is shocking high, pollution is enveloping north India, net FDI inflow into the country is close to zero. India’s youth is losing hope. We need the courage to admit to the shortfalls & use the ample talent in the country to design policy.

STING OPERATION AGAINST THE WITCH-HUNT OPERATIONS OF LG LADAKH...
For raising my voice for the youth of the nation and the well-being of border areas like Ladakh & Arunachal, I'm being continuously witch-hunted and defamed & our schools being harrassed in every possible way by the LG Administration in Ladakh.
But this Sting Operation by our lawyers establishes that the LG Administration is directly involved in illegal smear campaigns (& much more).
Much more has come to us from the Raj-Niwas/ Lok-Niwas but we're releasing just some excepts for now.
I tried v much to avoid this, thinking it may damage the nation's dignity & morale & hence I first shared the material with the Chief of IB for Intervention, but unfortunately after few exchanges he too stopped responding... So with a heavy heart I am sharing this with the nation as we must stop the LG from playing like an infant in the ecologically & strategically sensitive border regions of India.

Sound on please ! Hornbills are calling ! How many Great Hornbills are too many ! Surely never enough! A gathering like this is called a ‘congregation’, and what a stunning congregation this is ! Respectfully disagree with @rammadhav_ piece in IE today.
1. It was not a “leaked” video, it was on ITBP’s official YT channel, withdrawn later.
2. I don’t remember moratoriums on patrolling pre-2020. Buffer zones are a totally new concept, earlier India could patrol the “undemarcated” and “undefined” areas along LAC to assert territorial claim, now areas in Eastern Ladakh (Galwan, Finger area etc)are a no-go zone. Same playbook is repeating in Arunachal Pradesh.

🚨MASSIVE BREAKING : Indian Express Just drop HYDROGEN BOMB on Surrender Modi🔥
(MUST Read & Share)
Modi Govt paid ₹1.4 crore a MONTH to Trump's own man to get Delhi's calls answered in Washington 🔥
→ India's Embassy in Washington hired Trump aide Jason Miller's lobbying firm in April 2025, days after the Pahalgam attack.
→ The fee: $150,000 a month. That's $1.8 million (around ₹17 crore) a year.
→ In April 2026, the contract was renewed for another year.
→ US filings now show the firm arranged 8 phone calls between the Indian side and top White House officials in May-June, including the Treasury Secretary and the US Trade Representative.
→ On June 23, the contract was terminated, after Miller joined the Trump administration himself as a "special government employee".
→ India had also hired a second Trump-linked lobbying firm at $75,000 a month.
→ And among the things that firm listed as its work: Trump's post greeting Modi on becoming India's longest serving PM.
Now connect the dots.
For 11 years we were told the world bows to Modi.
"Hug diplomacy." "Abki baar Trump sarkar." "Howdy Modi."
But when it came to actually talking to Trump's team, India was paying a Trump loyalist by the month to set up calls.
India's man in Washington was a Trump man.
And the day he joined Trump's government, he simply moved to the other side of the table.
Even a Trump post congratulating Modi was listed as part of a paid lobbying firm's work.
Bro, imagine...
You tell the whole mohalla you're best friends with the richest man in town.
Hugs, photos, rallies together.
Then one day the mohalla finds out you were paying his personal assistant every month just to get your calls through.
And the moment the assistant got a job in that rich man's house, he stopped working for you.
That's not friendship. That's a paid appointment.
That's not "Vishwaguru". That's a client paying for access.
Modi, if Trump is your "true friend", why did India need to pay his aide $150,000 a month?
Who decided to hand India's voice in Washington to a Trump loyalist?
Is the "hug" also on a monthly retainer? 🔥🔥🔥

Of all the U-turns taken by the @ECISVEEP in the last one month, this one is the biggest. Today’s order amounts to an admission that the SIR process followed since June 2025 was exclusionary.
Wish I could thank the ECI. But sadly, the damage is already done. The order does not apply to 80% of India where SIR is over. In the six states where it applies, restoration of names once deleted is very hard and may not benefit many.
Hence, while congratulating @AnjaliB_ and @johriamrita and thanking @pbhushan1, @cheryldis and Neha Rathi for not giving up, I recall this old song: sab kuchh luta ke…
Urgent Update
Extremely significant ECI communication following SC’s direction in Delhi SIR case
On October 28, 2026 in the Delhi SIR matter, the SC had observed that making deleted voters on ASDD list fill Form 6 was an ERROR. SC had said that such voters should be allowed to fill enumeration form/ Form 8 if they are marked as permanently shifted or as absent/ untraceable.
Today, the ECI has issued communication dated November 6, 2026 addressed to CEOs of Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Telangana and Nagaland on facilitating inclusion of left out voters. The communication states:
- Voters who are on ASDD list as they had shifted residence, can fill enumeration form along with a statement with details of their new address. In case of homeless persons, field verification by BLO will suffice.
- Voters who could not submit their enumeration form within the deadline and are on ASDD list can submit their enumeration form now along with a statement on why they were unable to do so earlier.
- All those on ASDD list who will now fill enumeration form along with the applicable statement will be re-assigned their old EPIC number. All such cases will be parked for inclusion in final voter list following due verification.
- Wide publicity must be given to all these initiatives, including through media, social media, announcements, reaching out through WhatsApp etc. and facilitation and assistance to be provided to voters.
We welcome this communication issued by the ECI. We believe this is an important step in addressing large scale exclusions caused during SIR. The provision to re-assign the old EPIC numbers is important as it will ensure preservation of voter’s historical record of being an existing voter. Just in Delhi, out of 47.56 lakh deleted in the first phase and put on ASDD, 31.59 lakh were marked as permanently shifted and 11.73 as absent/untraceable. The SC had observed that asking such people to fill Form 6 with its declaration of being a first time voter was an error.
We urge the CEO of Delhi and all other states to take immediate steps to operationalise these critical directions.
