🇨🇦 Mount Spendmore.
The only mountain where your debt climbs faster than you do. 😂
What would you name it? 👇
🇨🇦 Ottawa’s latest auto plan includes holding vehicle fleet emissions standards at 2026 levels through the 2029 model year.
For manufacturers, that means more breathing room while tariffs squeeze the industry.
For buyers, it comes with no guaranteed discount. Vehicle prices still depend on production costs, competition, financing and what dealers can sell.
The useful test is whether that flexibility produces affordable vehicles and Canadian investment.
Regulatory relief has been announced. The dealership still wants a deposit.
🇨🇦 About half of surveyed Canadian firms plan to pass war- and tariff-related cost increases to customers.
Some are still recovering past costs. Even if the shock fades, your shopping bill may keep catching up.

🇺🇸 🚨 Washington has ordered non-emergency U.S. government personnel and their families to leave Saudi Arabia amid escalating Houthi attacks.
Reports of departure orders covering the UAE, Jordan, Qatar and Bahrain remain disputed by the State Department.
A serious escalation worth watching.
You don’t need U.S. dollars to own a piece of America’s biggest businesses. 🇨🇦

Look for “CDR (CAD Hedged)” on the Canadian listing.
One pick. A 5 year hold.
Which gets your money? 🇨🇦
Canada before the Liberals: “Grab a cart.”
Canada after the Liberals: “Put that back.”
But please, tell us more about how well the economy is doing. 🇨🇦
“Buy Canadian.” 🇨🇦
Then Carney appoints Maia Johnson🇺🇸 an American political strategist who worked on Hillary Clinton’s campaign as his PMO’s chief operating officer.
Apparently, Canadian talent is world-class until there’s a vacancy upstairs.
Elbows up. Résumés south. 🫡🇺🇸
“Buy Canadian,” says Carney. 🇨🇦
Meanwhile, the CRA reportedly replaced the veterans’ group guarding its offices since 2012 with an American company.
The saving? $80,000.
“Buy Canadian.” 🇨🇦
Brookfield? America.
His investments? America.
His kids’ education? America.
His wife’s employment contract? America.
Apparently, “elbows up” is for Canadians.
The family plan is “America First.”

🇨🇦 Canada wasn’t supposed to feel like this.
Work hard. Pay your taxes.
Follow the rules.
In return, you expected a home, healthcare, safe streets, and a future for your children.
Today, too many Canadians work just to stay afloat.
Groceries squeeze the budget.
Homeownership slips further away.
Young families put their lives on hold.
Meanwhile, Ottawa delivers another announcement.
But you can’t live in a promise or feed a family with a press conference.
Canadians are still doing their part.
They deserve leaders who do theirs.
A country this rich should offer its people more than the struggle to get by.
Canadians deserve a better deal.

A locked door should keep trouble out ..not hold your peace of mind hostage. 🇨🇦
We grew up hearing, “Be home before dark.”
Now we worry about what happens after we get home.
Canadians deserve to feel safe in their own neighbourhoods. That should be the bare minimum.
How did we get here?

Canadians are not as safe as they used to be. Our legal guns are being confiscated and we can no longer defend ourselves or our homes.
I remember a time when we could leave our screen door open all night long in the summer time. Something so innocent seems like a death sentence now!
Broken Country explores many of the issues plaguing our country.

Canada’s national sport is now paying twice. 🇨🇦
Taxes for healthcare. Then a private appointment.
Taxes for safety. Then cameras and security.
Taxes for infrastructure. Then repairs after the pothole.
Ottawa calls it resilience.
Your bank calls it insufficient funds.

🇨🇦 Since Elon Musk is also Canadian…
If he ran for Prime Minister, would you vote for him?🤔 @elonmusk
Ottawa’s $1.9 billion asylum housing bill should come with more than a spending total.
How many people were housed? At what cost per person? For how long?
Without those answers, taxpayers can’t judge value for money.
A spending announcement is not a performance report.
🇨🇦 Canadians shouldn’t need a passport to benefit from their government’s housing priorities.
Any public financing for homes in the Dominican Republic should come with a clear explanation of the benefit to Canada.
A loan can be repaid.
An investment can earn a return.
Neither automatically makes it the best use of public money.
“Will we get it back?” is one question.
“Why is this the priority?” is another.

🇨🇦 Mark Carney points to Quebec’s culture and language when discussing its immigration powers.
Alberta asks for similar control: “We’ll see.”
English Canada has a culture worth preserving too.
Respecting Quebec’s identity shouldn’t mean brushing aside everyone else’s.
🇨🇦 Ottawa’s idea of a temporary program: permanent invoices.
The federal health program covering asylum claimants, resettled refugees and other eligible groups cost $896 MILLION in 2024–25, up from $211 million four years earlier.
The PBO’s February projection put it above $1.5 BILLION annually by 2029–30.
Separately, Ottawa reported roughly $1.2 BILLION in temporary accommodation costs since 2020.
Compassion needs a functioning system. Taxpayers deserve budgets, timely decisions and accountability.
Instead, “temporary” apparently means until your accountant starts crying.
🇨🇦 Canada’s health-care system is collapsing in real time.
ERs closing. Surgeries cancelled. Patients dying on waitlists.
So naturally, Ottawa decided the priority was funding health care abroad — Syria, Gaza, Bangladesh, Nepal, Vietnam, Indonesia, Pakistan, South Sudan.
Canadians can’t get a family doctor…
but at least we’re world-class at exporting health care we can’t deliver at home.
This isn’t generosity.
It’s governing by press release.
Charity without competence isn’t virtue — it’s neglect.
Fix Canada first. Then lecture everyone else.
CANADA’S DEPORTATION DATA IS TELLING US SOMETHING. 🇨🇦
Indian nationals:
2020: 1,424
2021: 603
2022: 786
2023: 1,132
2024: 2,004
2025: 3,779
2026 H1: 3,323
Read that last number again.
In just six months, removals are already at 88% of the entire 2025 total.
For the first time since 2020, Indian nationals are #1 in enforced removals by citizenship.
This isn’t an argument about Indians.
It’s an argument about Canada’s system.
How did we go from 603 removals in 2021 to 3,323 in HALF of 2026?
Who was being admitted?
What screening failed?
Which immigration streams were involved?
And how much is enforcement now costing taxpayers to clean up problems that better screening might have prevented?
Deportation is the final failure in the chain.
The investigation should start at the front door. 🇨🇦
Tim Hortons: "We can only serve beverages due to labour shortages."
Also Tim Hortons: "Please stop immigration cuts."
Also Singh Horton: "Hello, I have 400 resumes and a cousin who can also fix your furnace."
The market always finds a way. 🇨🇦👇

🇨🇦 Canada’s 2025 permanent resident admissions, by citizenship:
🇮🇳 India: 98,835
🇨🇳 China: 21,105
🇵🇰 Pakistan: 8,875
🇧🇩 Bangladesh: 3,175
🇱🇰 Sri Lanka: 3,095
🇳🇵 Nepal: 2,005
India alone accounted for roughly one-quarter of admissions.
Ottawa should be judged on wages, housing capacity and whether newcomers’ skills actually match available jobs.

🇨🇦 Canada may be about to sign your grandchildren up for a bill they never voted for.
Carney and the Liberals are potentially locking Canadian taxpayers into generational financial obligations tied to deeper EU integration.
Look at the UK.
Brexit did not simply mean walking away. Britain was left with a financial settlement estimated at roughly £30–42 billion, with payments stretching over years.
And the economic costs did not stop there.
More customs friction.
More bureaucracy.
Reduced trade.
Lost tax revenue.
Lower economic growth.
Now Canada is moving toward deeper integration with the EU trading bloc, with potential annual costs running into the billions.
And here is the question Canadians should be asking before signing anything:
What happens if a future government wants out?
Because joining an international structure is always sold as opportunity.
Leaving one can become extraordinarily expensive.
Britain learned that lesson the hard way.
Canada should know the full cost, the long-term obligations and the exit terms before taxpayers are locked in.
Otherwise today’s political agreement becomes tomorrow’s generational bill. 🇨🇦
