When you're first starting out, most of your sales won't come from people who "know, like, and trust" you.
Do you know which high performance coach once revealed "a full 72 percent of the buyers of my last promotion had never heard of me"?
You've been sold a lie. AI will not write a better headline than your copywriter even if you give the LLM data on your best headlines.
You know what those people who have success have that you don't?
They're not smarter than you.
Their story isn't more interesting.
They have the power to keep going...
When distractions fill the mind.
When setbacks rear their ugly head.
Steal with integrity, they say.
But how do you feel about using someone else's ungated Google doc as a lead magnet?
And fully acknowledging that it's not your own?
Give me any trainable 9 to 5 employee not in digital marketing and I'll teach them everything they need to know about advertising with advertorials in 9 days.
Is this an offer that resonates with you?
Lead Magnet to Order Page.
Order Page to Upsell or Downsell Page.
Upsell Page to Thank You Page.
Downsell Page to Thank You Page.
No wonder Internet marketers need funnel builders.
Wannabe solopreneur: "All these gurus are growing so fast!"
Solopreneur: "I can reverse engineer what they're doing to grow fast, too."
Which is it going to be?
Based on a true story:
"You're not going to drive sales right away."
"Why not? We've built up our profile with thousands of followers."
"Yes, but that was a while ago. Things change."
"Can't you make us go viral?"
"I'm sorry, I can see this conversation isn't going anywhere."
"Isn't that a job that will be obsolete in a few years?"
Ouch.
And maybe, maybe not.
But learn every day.
Upskill yourself.
Be flexible.
You are not obsolete.
Get it?
"Honestly, I'm not that interested in AI."
Said nobody who wants to succeed in the next few decades.
Can marketers please stop saying, "Pay anything you want" and then requiring a minimum payment? That feels like a violation of the spirit of the Lanham Act at the very least.
If you're a marketer and you've not heard of the Lanham Act, it's past time you read about it: justia.com/consumer/deceptiv…
