My next #TuesdayNightTesting live stream is going to be on Tuesday 1st August, 8pm BST (UTC+1), where I will be testing the website "JPetstore 6". Join me as I look for bugs, and show how I would test a website. See you then! #PirateTesting youtube.com/live/iWvxpsCXOkg…

Sadly, automation too often becomes a goal rather than a tool to help meet a goal.

Since the iPhone 14 went on sale, the 911 dispatch center near Kings Island amusement park has received at least six phones calls saying: “The owner of this iPhone was in a severe car crash...” Except, the owner was just on a roller coaster. 🆕 by me: on.wsj.com/3CkEJJz

When I was just starting out in tech, I was taking thoughts posted by "famous" people in tech at face value. It was much later that I gained the experience to know that they don't apply for my context and situation. It's all contextual, and most those thoughts are just opinions.

I spent time over the last week or so building a custom LMS to host my video training courses. This allows my @Patreon supporters to login via the Patreon OAuth API and take the courses.

🎤 1. Having testing discussions before they write code and then them realising you saved them time as you prevented bugs 🙌 2. Give each other kudos in front of others eg. At stand-ups and retros

What are some methods you’ve found that helps to strengthen the Dev-QA relationship? A few I have are: • Team bonding activities • QA/Dev pairing • ensuring each other are kept in the loop

Looking for a test lead role or know someone who is? We need someone to lead my team of 1 and I’m searching for someone who will help me be my best! We are mostly UK remote but it would be nice if you could pop in to the Cirencester office occasionally. Drop me a message!

🔥 My free 7-hour beginner JavaScript course is finally OUT! It is IMHO the most interactive JS course ever recorded, with 140+ challenges. To celebrate, I'll give a 1-year @scrimba subscription (worth $150) to a random person who retweets this tweet 🎁 scrimba.com/learn/learnjavas…

"Give your testers freedom to investigate the product... Testing can’t be limited to confirmation and demonstration that the product can do what the business hopes it can do." I approve this message from @michaelbolton. ;-) linkedin.com/feed/update/urn…

You're never going to know everything there is to know in tech. Instead, aim for the confidence to know that you can figure it out.
