I’ve always liked this Houston Chronicle photo of head coach Jerry Glanville, QB coach June Jones and DB coach Nick Saban at a 1988 Oilers practice.

The bad faith argument doesn’t hold water. I’ve been writing about these issues before I was even married and was still working for local government and writing for BMWK.

A behind-the-scenes look at a Kobe Bryant game-worn and signed jersey from 2004.
Kobe wore this jersey for 17 games across the ‘03-‘04 season, going 16-1.
He went 8-0 while wearing it in the playoffs and clinched every western conference series in this jersey.
It’s now live on auction with @THEREALESTCOM until November 8th.
472 points, 85 rebounds, 94 assists, 33 steals, and 11 blocks while wearing it.
Truly one of the most special pieces of Mamba memorabilia to ever come to market. 🐍
Rye brings up Nolan Wells only because it was a tragedy they were exploiting. It wasn't about the preservation of the black family.
I wasn’t going to bring up marriage and family, but @angela_rye opened the door so I had to be honest about both why—and where—I do my work. This interaction is why it is so important to have conversations that cross political and ideological lines.

The Inside The NBA crew reacts to Ernie Johnson announcing this will be his last season on the show ❤️
I appreciate the passion and the detail lol.
I agree that you don’t need all those storage items. Three sizes, collapsible and you’re good to go. Thank you.
Lol you need a lil variety of shapes & sizes, yes…but most of us DON’T need the QUANTITY we have saved for imaginary times. Truth be told, you only store one or two meals/sides at a time in them.
If this was a real question, maybe start here: 1. Keep enough to store ONE Thanksgiving dinner & a few more for to-go plates. 2. Purge the ones that don’t have tops & the bent out of shape, stained ones. 3. Re-organize the cabinet or pantry in a PRACTICAL way. (Stop embarrassing your family with it all falling out 🥴) 4. Stop saving every damn take-out container.
I swear this is a form of hoarding. Tupperware/food containers has our community in a chokehold 🤣

Kobe Bryant says he would hire a car service to get to road games before the team’s first bus so he could be inside the arena before the crowd arrived and prepare in complete silence, and says he would prepare meticulously for whatever looks the opposing defense was going to give him
“If we had a road game, say Miami, a 7:30pm game, I’d still get up early and do weights. I’d have breakfast, get on the bus, go to shootaround, get my shots up, come back to the room, do treatment, ice, stretch. I might watch a movie, I might watch a little extra film.”
“Then for the bus to the stadium, we had two buses. The first bus was generally around 4:45pm and the second bus was around 5:30pm. I was generally on the early one, just to get treatment and get shots up, because I liked getting to the arenas early.”
“Sometimes I would actually get a car and leave before the first bus because even though the first bus was leaving early, there were still people coming into the stands. I liked getting to arenas when there was nobody in there and you could kind of feel the purity of the place, especially in a road environment.”
“As far as how many shots I was trying to get up, it depended on how I was feeling physically and who we were playing. If I was playing the Spurs, I’d work on short-corner shots, mid-elbow shots, those types of shots because those were the shots their defense would give up. If I was playing Memphis and Tony Allen, I’d work on a lot of back-to-the-basket stuff, putting my body on Tony, making sure my footwork was right, making sure I was hiding the ball so he couldn’t swipe it. I’d go through those muscle-memory things. The positions of the shots would vary depending on the opponent.”
