We have had the privilege to be guests of 467th Bomb Group / 93rd Bomb Group for their reunion in Colorado Springs and to present the story of Wendover Airfield, our history, and our progress. Wonderful time, wonderful experiences and wonderful people!
We have had the pleasure of being guests today at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. What an amazing facility. We felt bad the iconic chapel is undergoing a major renovation and were unable to see it.
The interior restoration of our C-54 is coming along nicely. Come visit the airfield and check it out! #HWA

It's National Fire Prevention Week! We appreciate what our firefighters have done throughout our history. They have been essential to base safety. This a photo of an Air Force fire crew taken in our fire station with a O-10 Crash Truck, O-11A Crash Truck, and a 530B Fire Engine.

Andy Rooney landed on the beach of Normandy days after D-Day, 80 years ago today. In 2004, he shared a firsthand account of “a day unlike any other.”
