Naga homegrown indie band We Are Imaginary celebrates a long-awaited milestone with the release of their self-titled album on vinyl. Highly lyrical and introspective, the record captures the band’s distinct sound and the essence of their music.
In an interview, frontman and songwriter Ahmad took us through the band’s ups and downs, the challenges of staying authentic in a fast-paced music industry, and what has kept them going for 18 years.
The band also offered candid advice to emerging artists. Reflecting on their longevity, they shared that if money and fame had been their primary motivations, they wouldn’t have lasted this long. “As long as we respect each other’s priorities, dun tumatagal yung banda,” Khalid (vocals, guitar) added.
Join We Are Imaginary as they celebrate the vinyl launch of their self-titled album this Sunday, November 8, at 6 PM at Saguijo.

We Are Imaginary performs “Pinkish Hue,” one of the singles off their latest self-titled album. Frontman and songwriter Ahmad’s take on a Seinfeld reference, the song captures the perspective of someone slowly losing themselves in a relationship.
