Something you quickly learn while trying to make your own films is that people don’t actually care lol. They want to root for you after the fact but they definitely don’t want to be part of the doing and struggling, they’ll hit you up after the thing is made and it’s successful.

begging documentarians to include non-white experts in some of their films. their omission often leaves questions unanswered. something will always be missing from the story that claims to be important for all audiences when white voices/experiences are the default.
