Poor from us last night. We looked flat and lacked a bit of intensity! Maybe the Barca game was in back of minds? Credit to Fulham though, full value for a point and possibly should have had more. Big week now! #AVFC

Unai Emery: "I have to say, I'm genuinely proud of the players. My job is difficult. When we get good results, I receive a lot of praise, but I want to make one thing clear: the players' job is harder than mine. "We have a great group of human beings. This season could go one way or the other, but we have to stay united behind them because they're showing tremendous work ethic and discipline." #AVFC

Big big win! Great 3 points that! Bit more ragged in the 2nd half but overall we deserved that. Manzambi is a star and a really exciting cameo from Ibrahim Mbaye. My MOTM is Victor Lindelof, didn’t put a foot wrong all game! So solid! Barkley worried me 2nd half! #AVFC

Just rewatched the commentary on Buendia’s strike, WTF was Gerrard going on about with Hemmings foot? I mean he was about 15 yards away from impacting anything 😂😂 #avfc

Massive win for us yesterday. Important to not go into this big International Break in the bottom 3 and nice to get one over Spurs again at their place. 1st half was a bit average but 2nd we looked much better. Jackson will be some player. #AVFC

It’s mad how a day out with ya mates and your football team winning does wonders for your mood/wellbeing. Lucky to have such great lads from darts who are more than a team tbh, mates who I know are there for you and not self absorbed and all about them. Proper pals. Top day!

My team today : Suzuki Cash THB Lindelof Ruggieri Gomes Kamara Mbaye McGinn Hemmings Jackson This is what I would play today! I actually think Mings plays instead of THB and wouldn’t surprise me if we find a way to get Buendia in there. Manzambi not ready to start. #AVFC

Typical Villa. In cruise control and then the same old same old players far too fucking casual allows Coventry back in it and its game on again. The lackadaisical way in which Barkley, Bogarde, Mings etc.. play really fucks me off #AVFC

Villa Fans everywhere waiting for that tweet from @J_Tanswell and @johntownley11 saying that Joao Gomes is injured and gonna miss x amount of time after not being seen in the squad tonight 😰

Joao Gomes was brilliant, man of the match for me quite easily. He covered some ground. Big shout outs to Hemmings, Jackson, Maatsen aswell some strong performances from them also. Some silly accounts on here last game said Father Time had caught up with McGinn 😂! #AVFC

Until the penalty decision, we were in full control and a top performance, got a bit edgy the last 30 minutes but overall full value for the win. Hopefully that starts the season now. 3 goals. 3 points. #AVFC

We must be the most unluckiest team when it comes to new signings and people getting injured? Feel for Goretzka! But he sounds like his loving the Villa so hopefully after the break he’s flying! #AVFC

First 60 minutes I thought we were fine and should have been 2 up. Last 30 minutes was very hard. Almost pedestrian like, we take one touch too many sometimes, trying to find the perfect pass when a team is so structured is very difficult. You have to win them games. #avfc

Seeing a lot of rubbish (IMO) regarding Unai Emery from Pundits and Creators. I have no worries that Emery stays this season and probably next few. Some of the clips I’ve seen, look really ill informed and poor clickbait with these ‘hot takes’. #avfc

The new players will take time to adjust on and off the pitch, whilst moulding Emery’s ways of thinking of playing. You think he doesn’t know this? His body language throughout all of this has been fantastic. Same with Captain McGinn. #avfc

For me, we have the best manager in the league, he doesn’t get at Villa what he would get at any other club, he literally runs the club from top to bottom. It’s as simple as that. One day he will go (hopefully back to Spain) but I don’t see that happening anytime soon #avfc
