everyone has their own posture, ways to work and of course your work station is something that evolves with time as you're able to as well... but for me at least the pen tablet has always made me strain my hand and shoulder a lot as you need to have a lot more presition and control (since you're not looking directly at what you're doing with your hand), specially if it has a small working surface. I cannot explain to you how much I suffered when I had go back to one of those after working on my big screen tablet when waiting for it to be replaced 😭 I hate on table stands, if you have a screen tablet, I'd recommend to invest on a good arm and try every position possible until you find the one that's comfortable to you and that gives the less strain to your arms. And of course to keep it to a healthy eye level. I personally work on at one side of the desk, with the tablet floating out of it, I put only one arm over the keyboard for my hotkeys. The arm I use to draw I rest over the arm rest of the chair. That also leaves the desk free and not completely occupied by the big screen 🫶
