I'm a retired UPS guy of 43 years, and before that I was in the USAF. I'm a husband, father, and grandfather. I'm also a lifelong Christian conservative who stands with MAGA, MAHA, and the American way. I study the Bible. It is God's word, period. I believe in the supremacy of the United States Constitution as the founders laid it out. I post original takes and some articles, and algorithm analysis. I post a lot of veteran stories to give them the attention they deserve. They deserve far more than that, but that's all I can do on X. I love finely crafted beer by local brewers. You might say I'm a beer snob, but I won't judge you if you simply like the factory beers. It's all good, it's beer. Patriots are always welcome on my page, whether as mutuals, commentary, or both. I block bots and burner accounts, both foreign and domestic, who try to follow me or attack me on my page. Everybody else I judge by the feed. If your feed is suspicious or you post from the left, you get kicked to the curb. If you never post, then I'm probably not going to follow back. If you're a reply-only account, you're welcome to follow, but I probably won't follow back. The only reason to follow an account is to see their posts. If you never post, there is no need. If you're here for real talk and the occasional fired-up run-on about our love for this country, pull up a chair. If you like to talk the algorithm and what makes X tick, then we can have a conversation. I like to talk about my genealogy research of my family and using Grok Bot to get that done. Absolutely no DMs without permission. All others get deleted. Put a link in the DM and you're blocked. No crypto. No coins. No "opportunities." Don't ask. I also need my coffee in the morning, so don't be surprised if I start the day grumpy. Though I'm mostly peaceful. I'm putting more about my experience in the first reply if you're curious. If not, that's fine, have a nice day.

Marine veteran Louis Mercadante, 95, finally got his formal Purple Heart ceremony, 75 years after the Battle of Chosin Reservoir. He held Toktong Pass for six days in Korea, took shrapnel and frostbite, and was reportedly the last Marine to leave the position. The medal came in the mail years ago, but nobody ever formally presented it to him. A stranger fixed that. Mike Nickles saw his Battle of Chosin Reservoir hat in a Pittsburgh grocery store, stopped to thank him, and they talked for almost an hour. Nickles then spent months pushing, including a letter to the Marine Corps commandant, until Brig. Gen. Matthew Tracy presented the medal Friday at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. His son said it best: "There's a lot of other people, probably, who need a Mike." Thank you for your service, Mr. Mercadante. And thank you, Mike, for looking out for your local veterans. stripes.com/veterans/2026-10…

Veterans Day is coming, and here's a better way to say thank you than a quick "thank you for your service." Cohen Veterans Network just launched a Veteran Gratitude Line. Call 1-248-VETERAN, press 1, and leave a message from the heart. Veterans and their families can call the same number, press 2, and hear the messages people have left for them. Only about 6% of Americans are veterans, so fewer of us have a direct connection to someone who served. This gives everybody a way to say it. Pick up the phone and call. prnewswire.com/news-releases…

X dropped more algorithm code last night. Nothing changed in how your posts are scored on X's end. Here's what did change in plain English. X switched how ads get mixed into your feed. That's ads only, not your posts. X's visible code also now has a way to list the exact posts that got a label that can limit reach, so the Under the Hood report could show you which ones instead of leaving you guessing. That switch is NOT LIVE YET in the code. The appeal instructions also got more complete, with forms for the UK, EU, Australia, Brazil and Japan. One thing worth knowing about a label: a flag on a post means it's hidden from recommendations to people who don't follow you. Your followers can still see it. Likes still help, and a reply or quote helps even more.

Looks like the hammer is going to fall for anyone that decides to cheat this election. And that means anybody no matter how high up. Enforcing the law, it's about time. Election officials, keep the records. That's the message the DOJ just sent to election officials in all 50 states, and it comes with teeth. Preserve voting records for 22 months or risk federal prosecution. The Post says DOJ has charged 154 foreign nationals across 23 states in the last two months for voting illegally or registering fraudulently. North Carolina leads with 18. Minnesota has 11. DOJ says a vote cast by a non-citizen cancels out the vote of a citizen. That's the whole point. Your vote should count, and nobody who isn't allowed to vote should be wiping it out. DHS is just as blunt: vote as a non-citizen and you face charges and deportation. Good. nypost.com/2026/10/31/us-new…

Halloween on a S(C)aturday We get our hour of sleep back tonight but don't party too hard. Shadow thinks the only costume he needs is the one he's got on. Be safe out there if you're driving tonight, and watch for the little ghosts and goblins. Time for coffee. Cheers ☕

Thank God Violet Hay is alive. The 10-year-old was taken from her Canby, Oregon apartment around 2 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities say the man who took her hit her 12-year-old sister in the head with a hammer first. Thirteen hours later, a SWAT team found Violet tied up in a closet in Oregon City. A law enforcement source told OregonLive she was duct-taped inside a duffel bag. Her sister is still in the hospital with a head injury from that hammer, and police haven't said how she's doing. Vince Edgar Chavez, 35, is accused of kidnapping Violet and assaulting her sister. U.S. Marshals arrested him as he tried to run out the back door. Great work by the Marshals, the FBI and every officer who kept searching. Please keep both girls in your prayers. IMO, violent or perverted crimes against children need to be the death penalty. It's obvious that the current deterrents aren't working. nypost.com/2026/10/29/us-new…

I have faith that the Polish people are going to overcome this coup. They've been through far worse than this in their struggle for freedom. Now a new generation has to fight that fight once again. Freedom is never settled. There's always another tyrant to fight off.

Eight people are indicted in New York for what prosecutors call a "fraud factory" that allegedly drained $7 million from SNAP and EBT cards. Prosecutors say the alleged ringleader, 34-year-old Belal Hauter, ran it out of hotels and the back room of a Yonkers deli. His crew allegedly opened merchant accounts for real and fake delis and grocery stores. Then they used skimmers to copy EBT cards and PINs and cleaned out the accounts almost as soon as the benefits were loaded. The money allegedly went to luxury cars, including a BMW, and thousands of dollars to Yemen. Prosecutors say the real total could reach $13 million. Those benefits were meant to put food on the table for people who need it. Someone had their groceries money stolen so these guys could drive nice cars. Three defendants pleaded not guilty. Hauter is held on more than $1 million bail. If they're convicted, the book needs to be thrown at every one of them. Finding the headlines for these grifters going down is like fishing in a bucket full of fish. I'm finding more and more every day. nypost.com/2026/10/30/us-new…

Minnesota just got hit with 17 search warrants in one day, and four people are under arrest for allegedly stealing $41 million from federal health programs. FBI Director Kash Patel says the raids covered a child care center, the owners' homes and autism services providers. The accused include Feisal Elmi (11 counts, $8M), Faiza Ahmed (8 counts, $10M), Jama Mohamod (6 counts, $3.27M) and Habiba Mohammed (conspiracy, $20M). Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent called the Walz administration "woefully negligent" and said it turned a blind eye. That money was meant for the sick, the elderly and kids who need real help. They're innocent until proven guilty, but if a jury convicts, the sentences need to be heavy enough that the next grifter thinks twice. A slap on the wrist is an invitation. It's happening, and it's happening fast. I voted for this in 2024 and I voted for it again today. nypost.com/2026/10/30/us-new…

Politicians don't have to worry about driving home from work in the dark at 5pm, because they don't work. Imagine how many days Tampon Tim works from home and eats doughnuts all day.

X announced today that Under the Hood now shows which of your posts got a visibility-limiting label. Before, you could see that a label existed but not which post it was on. Here it is in plain English. If fewer than 5% of your posts in the report period have the label, X lists those posts for you. If more than 5% do, you won't get the list. So if you've ever wondered why a post went nowhere, this may finally tell you. This is X's own announcement, and I haven't seen it in the visible code yet. Appeal instructions for labels were in last night's code, but that part is NOT LIVE YET.
