Fuck it. You a billionaire. Fine. Spend it. Build a house. A contractor, plumber, electrician, engineer, architect and realtor will get paid. Now furnish it. The desk builder, couch maker, mattress king etc gets paid.

But they don’t. They hoard it. So they can be on the leaderboard of Forbes magazine. Because it’s no longer a competition in average, it’s a competition in excess. The rest of us are just canon fodder in a dick measuring contest.

Honestly at this point it’s no longer even about how much some of these people are worth. It’s more about what they don’t spend. Trickle down Reaganism has the assumption that the wealth at the top will be spent therefore enriching the those below.

But if they don’t spend that money. It’s now a coin locked behind a door that nobody despite their effort can earn.

Socialism is the soil. The foundation. The tithing cup of the American Dream. We pay taxes to ensure the systems and necessities we should no longer have to struggle for are provided to this society in that donation.

That net provides an environment where we can thrive in potential. If the bare minimum is good for you. That’s fine. Work for it. If you want more do more. Socialism beside capitalism doesn’t create laziness. It breeds innovation by eliminating distractions.

Do you want roads? Clean water? Security? Access to modern medical procedures/medication? Do you want children in school to be provided meals? Do you want teachers to have better salaries? Food free from poison?

Air fit to breathe? Water good to drink? Higher education easier to access? Live-able wages for any American working 30+ hours per week? Well that what taxes are for. Or should imperatively be for.

Staunch communism and staunch capitalism rely adversely on the good faith in power. When socialism appeared, initially as a funnel to communism, a new idea of distribution in power was switched on. Showing critical flaws in both communism and capitalism.

Also. I personally need anyone on the left that is more concerned with identity politics to politely let the adults of reason focus on securing healthcare, education, infrastructure, clean water, safe produce, constitutional freedoms and protections.

Alan Greenspan who served as the chairman of the federal reserve from 1987-2006 was inspired and friend of Ayn Rand. His direction built the economic fundamental structure in which libertarian capitalism in this country can thrive.

In the end he himself admitted it was a fundamentally flawed ideology.

Keep going. I’m almost there.
Ted Cruz on his podcast today: "Texas is excruciatingly close. Understand, we could lose Texas. Let me repeat that: we could lose Texas. And by the way, not just the Senate race. We could lose every single statewide race in Texas. That's how close these numbers are." #TXSEN

Sometimes a monologue from the past appears and shows you a mind long ago warned of a world today. Carl Sagan has always been that guy. Today was the first time this specific quote came across my desk.

This new form of American capitalism has decended into socialism for the elites and staunch consequential capitalism for the working, middle and lower class. Where the bank is too big to fail but the small business owner isn’t.

The technocrat is like a house cat. In its world it’s a fiercely independent being capable of existing and surviving on its own merit and free will. Not realizing its entire safety, security, health, comfort and well being relies on the owner of the house it resides in.

That is why socialism is such a terrifying concept for them, because it relies on accountability and defined distribution of resources. Especially modern Democratic Socialism. Where the people decide how their tax dollars are collected and allocated.

By creating a system of proprietary technologies built into the fabric of modern civilization. They will operate under their own set of “rules” no longer governed by anyone but themselves and their agreements. Technocracy. The bastard child of libertarianism and futurism
