So @wsj_com is reporting that brands are finally realizing their fans are the most trusted creators they've got. You can see it in this chart. The spend keeps sliding down the follower ladder from macro to micro. The first brands to find their fans and enable them will win.

The Trials (2026) imagines a universe Olympics where an alien force drags every species into one arena, and the real horror isn’t the alien but the mirror it holds up to us.

hollywood is entering its fan edits era 🌟 yesterday fast company covered Leviticus, a horror film whose director dropped an official "scene pack" and told fans to "go nuts." HBO hired an amateur editor after her fan cut clocked 4.8M views. studios are finally catching on that a single edit can change a movie's trajectory. but the "innovation" being celebrated is a dropbox folder? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ brands still can't recruit fan creators at scale, give them tools to produce high-performing edits, or measure what's working. so they post a cloud link and cross their fingers. 🤞 exactly what we're fixing at @wideworlds_...

AI and Fandom: AI tools can let fans create AI gen content for toys, games and new IP However, most Hollywood studios film/TV IP owners currently don't want fans to use gen AI with their characters/ IP. @aionthelot @BITKRAFTVC @candiceafia @wideworlds_

it will be very hard for IP holders to control their IP, but also hard for creators to make money from fan creations i really like what @wideworlds_ is doing. they make IP holders feel in control while people can create content and make money from it. which is inevitable

The Disney / OpenAI deal is the ultimate signal that fan creation will become the foundation of every entertainment brand's marketing strategy. Short form social fan content is just the beginning. A world full of fan-made stories for every fandom is where it ends.

We just added a lot more control to our IP controls to @wideworlds_ai. Upload your lore and we turn it into a structured taxonomy of rules, concepts, key events, tone of voice and more. This helps us embed rich IP context into your world so content created by your fans is true to story and more interesting, relevant, and all around juicier. We also have added a few new guardrails to prevent off-topic content and IP crossover.

There seems to be many definitions of a "world" in AI We define it as a co-creative community space with shared styles, stories, and safeguards In other words, the content stays on-brand, the narratives stay coherent, and and the systems keep creations brand-safe.
