Update time Unfortunately Eagle Eclipse only managed a 9th/13 Even more bad news, due to the heavy rain at Doomben, the track was deemed unsuitable for racing and the meet was moved to Eagle Farm. Many horses scratched from the race including Adora Djon's.

In a few hours Eagle Eclipse will run at Curragh in 1200m 2yo maiden race, including against horses under Ballydoyle's Aiden O'Brien and Jockey Ryan Moore. He is the younger brother to Eclipse's other active racer Valentino Eclipse.

At the same day as the Kejurnas races, Adora Djon's will make her next start, this time at Brisbane. She will also be running at 1200m. This race will be a handicap 3yo race.

What is the kejurnas series? The 𝘒𝘦𝘫𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘢𝘯 𝘕𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘢𝘤𝘶𝘢𝘯 𝘒𝘶𝘥𝘢 (National Horse Racing Championship) is a series of races held on two race days to compete for the President's Cup.

Another factor for racing surface is the weather. Turf surfaces is the most affected my wet conditions. Being less able to absorb water, and holding on to water for longer, speed at turf surfaces suffers the most, with horses often having a going preference for turf.

The last major factor is mantenace. Turf courses typycally have shorter racing seasons, giving the grass time to recover in the off season. Dirt and synthetics are comparitively easier to maintain, and as such have longer racing seasons.
