The claim that immigrant people of colour are more violent than white people is false and rooted in harmful stereotypes. Violence is linked to factors like poverty, upbringing, and systemic inequality, not race or ethnicity. Immigrant communities often face over-policing and discrimination, which skew crime statistics. Media bias further perpetuates these misconceptions. Addressing root causes like economic inequality and unfair policing, rather than scapegoating race, is the solution to reducing crime and dismantling stereotypes.
