If you just assume Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme, you probably don't read much or understand how Ponzi schemes work. In 2019 Bitcoin was worth ~$150 billion. The price increased almost 10x since then because it's becoming more obvious that Bitcoin is the best asset in the world. Bitcoin will take us back to a world where commodities are used as money. A world where houses are not seen as cash-flowing containers to be accommodated by renters. An asset doesn't need to produce cash flow to be valuable, and the world is figuring it out. Having the characteristics we need money to have is enough. Bitcoin is perfectly designed to be money. It allows you to: 1) Store value 2) Transfer value 3) Assign value By being: 1) Fungible 2) Scarce 3) Durable 4) Portable 5) Divisible 6) Salable Some people say "It's been so long and Bitcoin isn't even doing anything!" It took Apple, one of the most valuable companies in the world, 42 years to reach a $1 trillion market cap (2018). It took only 2 more years to reach a $2 trillion market cap (2020). It took Google 22 years to reach $1 trillion (2020) and less than 2 years to reach $2 trillion. It took Bitcoin 13 years, from 2009 to November 2021, to reach a $1 trillion market cap. Do you truly think we're late to Bitcoin? Growth doesn't happen all at once. It takes time. As more people figure out that Bitcoin has the characteristics they want money to have, they will start accumulating. I think Bitcoin will have a $3-5 trillion market cap by the end of 2025. By the time most institutional investors figure it out, Bitcoin will be $200,000+ per coin ($4 trillion - more valuable than Microsoft - $3.1 trillion today) And by the time most retail investors see what's happening, Bitcoin will be $1M+ per coin ($20 trillion - more valuable than gold at $15.1 trillion today).
