🚨Question for the Sons out there, I lost my Father on Thursday morning (78 yrs old) to a four year battle with cancer. Those that lost their Father what items to remember your Father did you keep or wish you had kept? I’d appreciate prayers and your experienced advice. 🙏🏻

Joel Hollingsworth raises cattle in Mayes County, where about 40 Oklahoma families co-own his herd at Smoke River Ranch. When a family wants beef, they send one of their cows to the butcher and fill the freezer.
Now the Oklahoma Department of Securities wants to know if owning part of a cattle herd counts as buying stock. They’ve sent Joel two subpoenas. Eight months later there are no charges and no answers, just legal bills and a herd expansion on hold.
I spent my career in finance, and I know what fraud looks like. Joel’s cows are real, and he followed his attorneys’ advice every step of the way. As governor, I’ll make sure no Oklahoma rancher has to hire a lawyer just to raise cattle with his neighbors.
Joel Hollingsworth and Erin Hollingsworth, we’re with you.

Be careful out there. They’re putting ERCOT’s load forecast in candy bars (mostly air).
Made BnG with sawmill style cream gravy… recovery from Homecoming in Stilly (yes my biscuits were flat [C-] mis-measured my fats when I halved*2 the recipe and had to add more dry ingredients on the fly)

Whole grain bakers: where are you getting your whole grains in small quantities? I’d love to do some einkorn and other breads if I pull the trigger on a mill.

ERCOT’s large-load queue, mostly data centers, has passed 400 gigawatts. UT Austin researcher Joshua Rhodes says that number is unrealistic, but the data center boom is still real.

Tom Skerritt, 93, has died.
As Reverend Maclean in A River Runs Through It, he showed a good father at his best: firm, patient, faithful, and gentle with those he loved.
May he rest in peace.

“He told us about Christ’s disciples being fishermen, and we were left to assume, as my brother and I did, that all first-class fishermen on the Sea of Galilee were fly fishermen and that John, the favorite, was a dry-fly fisherman” Rest in peace Tom Skerritt.

“I knew just as surely, just as clearly, that life is not a work of art, and that the moment could not last.“
Rest, Mr. Skerritt.

On the latest episode of the @txenergyandpowr pod I sat down with Chairman @RafaelAnchia to talk about how a bill becomes a law in TX (tl;dr schoolhouse still rocks!) & what energy issues the next #txledge might take up + what is NOT helpful in the Texas electricity debate.
