Dems want you to pay $400 / lb for your ground beef
Texas Democrats have a once-in-a-generation chance to finally end the absurd rural Texas property tax exemption (ag-exemption). It would be political malpractice to ignore this chance to finally fix public school funding. @GinaHinojosaTX @VikkiGoodwinTX @VoteAnnJohnson
If you think your property taxes are high in Texas now, wait til Hinojosa ramps up the public ed/teacher spoils system. You’re going to get reamed!

Some former #txlege insight on who Texas just elected statewide:
@GinaHinojosaTX — sat in a corner with liberal woke freaks on the Texas House floor
@jamestalarico — everyone knew he was f***ing a staffer
@NathanForTexas — the guy who composed the Dragon Ball Z music
@SarahEckhardtTX — known as the biggest joke in the Texas State Senate and often would go on the Senate floor in a sweaty bike helmet
@VikkiGoodwinTX — weird creepy mom vibes
@Jon_RosenthalTX — unfollowed a p*rn account in the middle of a campaign
Just the advice we need from Senator Loser
Last night, Republicans lost the U.S. House, the U.S. Senate, and my home state of Texas, a conservative cornerstone for more than three decades, because our party forgot the basic rules of coalition politics:
1. Add, don’t subtract
2. Be likeable
3. Do what you promised
4. Character & integrity still matter

Thanks @marklevinshow. I live in Texas controlled by gay race communists because you wanted war with Iran.
Fuck you @LauraLoomer my state now is run by gay race communists because you were concerned about Podcastistan.
Can we trade Alberta for Georgia? I think we can brainwash Alberta to be pro-GOP. On the other hand, Georgia has MYG and Erick Erickson. Should be a province of Canada at this point.
Drunk Dade and Dustin Burrows are about to find out when Democrats win what happens to them in the Texas House. Fucking assholes deserve it.
Fuck @TGowdySC a piece of f*cking human debris with a f*ing weed wacker haircut.
When working with a torta, always have a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos on hand to feed her and calm her down.
🚨 BOMBSHELL: Two former members and one current member of Katy Padilla Stout’s congressional campaign staff have come forward, speaking under condition of anonymity, to describe what they call an extremely hostile work environment.
The current staffer alleges that Stout routinely berates and curses at her staff. “She’s mean and angry all the time,” the staffer said. “Her smile in front of the cameras is fake. She treats us like slaves. She has us do her grocery shopping, take her dogs to the groomer, and pick up her kids from school, stuff completely unrelated to the campaign.”
The staffer continued: “Earlier this month I requested a day off to drive to Dallas and visit my mom, who was scheduled to receive her first round of chemo. I had worked 11 straight days with no days off. Katy went psycho on me during the phone call, telling me, ‘Are you fucking kidding me with this stupid shit two days before a debate? We’re not playing these fucking games. You either start giving me 110% ASAP or I’ll fire your ass.’”
One former staffer said Stout frequently had blowups over food. “On one occasion, one of my colleagues went to pick up lunch for all of us at Tacos El Rey, which is around the corner from the office. Katy ordered two asada tacos, a chicken taco, a carnitas taco, a cup of beans, and a cup of rice. It was her usual order. When she opened her bag, she noticed the carnitas taco was missing.
She went absolutely crazy on my colleague, accusing her of stealing food and asking if she didn’t pay her enough that she needed to steal. As my coworker tried to explain that they probably just forgot to put it in the bag, Katy threw the cup of beans at the wall where my coworker was standing, told her, while she was crying and visibly shaken, to clean up the mess and earn her paycheck, and then stormed out to eat in her car.”
Another former campaign staffer said, “She’s made her whole campaign about how her opponent treats women, that he’s a misogynist and says inappropriate things on his YouTube channel, but she would say super inappropriate sexual stuff all the time when I was there. It got really awkward sometimes because she’d go into detail with me about sexual dreams she’d had. It made me and others feel really uncomfortable.
On many occasions I witnessed Katy refer to other women as ‘bitches’ and ‘cunts.’ On a separate occasion, we had the TV on and Scott Bessent was doing an interview. Katy referred to him as a ‘f*ggot Nazi enabler.’ I had to step out because I didn’t want to say something that would get me in trouble. I resigned about a week later.”
This is obv a Dem plant story. Or perhaps a GOP palooka plant story.
James talarico was caught following prostitutes and porn stars on Instagram.
talarico actively liked multiple photos of an Austin Instagram account holder who has a page on an escort website.
"I try not to follow celebrities or journalists or politicians on Instagram. I try to just keep it as, like, my personal friends," talarico said in 2019.

Armed guards at the door. Opioids offered on repeat. Apple Pay at my bedside. Welcome to the American Emergency Room.
The French think it bankrupts you. Americans think France does it for free. I’ve been to the ER in both. Both are wrong.
Mountain bike crash, dislocated and fractured shoulder. I’m French, I live in San Francisco, and I take slightly too many risks. Let’s compare.
Security
🇺🇸 Kaiser in Marin. Three armed guards and a metal detector. My phone set it off, so with my shoulder out of its socket I walked through again. And again. Then a pat-down.
🇫🇷 A couple of unarmed guys with walkie-talkies. Still not sure what they’re for.
Wait
🇺🇸 Three people in the waiting room. Seen in 15 to 30 minutes.
🇫🇷 Broken hand: packed room, 4 hours before anyone touched me.
Records
🇺🇸 Kaiser is vertically integrated. Insurer, hospital, doctors: one system. They had my file before I sat down.
🇫🇷 Every new doctor is a fresh context window. Zero history, maybe a printout from last time.
Infrastructure
🇺🇸 Small hospital, serious kit. Straight to the trauma bay: real bed, IV, vitals monitoring, ready for surgery if needed. All imaging on the spot.
🇫🇷 Broken hand: a plastic chair and a Doliprane.
Drugs
🇺🇸 Strong opioids were the default offer. I said no. They insisted. The doctor came in personally, confused why someone in that much pain would refuse. I stuck to Tylenol, an anti-inflammatory, to put the shoulder back in.
Yes, it hurt. No, I didn’t tap out. My mom is proud of me.
🇫🇷 Broken hand: Doliprane, opioids never mentioned. I have friends who got their shoulder popped back in with nothing at all.
US default: opioids. French default: Doliprane.
Bill
🇺🇸 Every nurse warned me: “You’re French, this bill is going to traumatize you.”
Before discharge, someone came to my bed to collect payment. Apple Pay, from the hospital bed. $300. For everything. On a ~$500/month Kaiser plan.
🇫🇷 A flat ~€20 ER fee, usually reimbursed by your mutuelle. The real bill shows up later, on your payslip (see below)
followup
🇺🇸 Kaiser called me right after to set up follow-up and physio, all in their system. So far, so good.
🇫🇷 Broken hand: discharged, figure it out yourself. A friend dislocated her finger. They put it back in wrong, sent her home with bad instructions, it locked up, and she needed surgery months later. Still not fixed.
“Free healthcare” in France
It’s not free when your marginal tax rate nears 70% with social charges. And if you want quality care fast, more and more people pay for private clinics anyway.
Verdict
One person, one data point. But the care was 10x better than anything I’ve had in France, for a price that’s completely fine.
France has a lot to learn.
And yes, I refused the narcotics to stay sharp enough to launch a NanoCorp from my hospital bed. Launch your first company run by an AI agent: nanocorp .so
This is the most important reason to support Paxton.
