I do hate when people take aim at the Friday The 13th movies. It’s like swinging at low hanging fruit. The Friday franchise are the Hallmark movies of the horror genre. They are vanilla slashers that are comforting in their formula…that’s why we watch them.

FRIDAY THE 13th has taken so many wild detours and digressions that it's hard to imagine any new direction feeling misguided...and then CRYSTAL LAKE comes around and makes you wonder how anyone could lose the plot in such a spectacular fashion.
