Have you ever typed a long heading in Excel and found that it doesn't fit inside the column? You can fix this by changing the column width. Move your pointer to the boundary between two column letters, then drag it to adjust the width. Double-clicking that boundary often automatically adjusts the column to fit its contents. You can do something similar with row heights. Try this with a spreadsheet containing names, dates, or product descriptions. A few small adjustments can make the whole sheet much easier to read.
