Got the second episode of Metropolis done. Check it out! podcasts.apple.com/podcast/e… I can't believe how well it turned out! I also can't believe I spent 120 hours in Pro Tools in the last two weeks to make it... 😂

Folks, I think I'm going to make it. Putting the finishing touches of Metropolis Episode 2 now. It'll come out tomorrow. Whew!

When I heard that Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis was going to come out the week before I released the first episode of Metropolis, I was really worried that it was going to suck all the air out of the Me*opolis room before I got there. I'm less worried about that now. 😂

(I would still like to see Megalopolis, BTW.)

You know that you've been doing too much audio editing when you start to recognize plosives *on sight*.

Here it is - the trailer for Metropolis! Wrote this audio drama and got some of the best actors in Seattle to be in it – would love to know your thoughts on how it turned out! 😄 cc @LuxRadium

I'm doing a new SuperQuiz this Thursday! And I'm going to premiere the trailer of Metropolis while I'm at it! Full details are here: mailchi.mp/e4299f7daba1/supe… Miss it and you'll feel like Jason Robards in Magnolia!

Can you spot the ads in this picture? Facebook has had this kind of dirty pool thing going for fifteen years, but it never stops feeling slimy.

One agonizing thing about starting a new business is that you have to make a bunch of social media accounts. That means you see what social media is like when the system doesn't have you dialed in. The answer: sheer terror.

If you're getting into audio drama because you're tired of living in a world where every second is ruled by spreadsheets, I have some terrible, horrible, no good, very bad news for you... (But it's worth it.)

Been in the studio the past two weeks. Metropolis is happening, and now I *know* it's going to be great. There are some very, *very* good actors here in Seattle. (See you at @LuxRadium!)

Also, in coming back to Twitter after some time away – holy smokes, what happened to this place?* (*I know what happened to this place.)

It's been fascinating digging into the most recent version of Squarespace. Some really tight constraints on what you can do with the design without dropping into CSS. For example, it's difficult to use more than two typefaces – they establish strong rails for that.

And it makes sense. Sqaurespace wants sites built on Squarespace to look good. Design rails are just like implementation rails - you're mostly keeping people from hurting themselves when they're not ready to go over the rail.

Granted - I'm not sure if having the rail be 'knowledge of CSS' is the ideal thing for having a good design eye, but it's better than nothing. Plus - less complexity in the implementation means better tooling for the pareto cases.

It's beautiful, isn't it? Brand new show cover art from the inimitable @MikeHirshon.
