When traders tell you to "lock in," it doesn't mean sit at your screen and force random trades, doing that will destroy your edge.
Instead, use that focus to learn a secondary, high income skill online.
This generates extra capital and keeps you productive while you wait for your actual setup.
Understand the difference so you don't "lock in" your way to a blown account.

GM fam ๐ค. You analyze your trades and set your limit orders perfectly, waiting for the price to reach your entry.
Suddenly, the price approaches your entry much more aggressively than usual, a single candle spikes 50 pips.
Out of fear, you delete your limit order thinking that price will smash straight through to your stop loss.
Instead, the price hits your entry aggressively and immediately reverses back in your direction. Once again, you have missed a winning trade.
Your focus must always remain on what your trading plan dictates, not on how the individual candlesticks are moving.
I pray NFP goes my way
I pray CPI goes my way
I pray PPI goes my way
I pray FOMC goes my way
What are you even saying?
Those are the words of a gambler, not a trader.
If you clearly know that a news event has a high probability of ruining your original setup, why are you still willing to take such a risk?...
As a trader, you must know the difference between strategy and psychological issues;
๐ You buy or sell a pair because
the chart "looks like it has
dropped too low" or "feels
bullish," without any plan
= Strategy issue.
๐ง You see your setup again after
your 5th loss in a row, but fear
paralyzes you to execute. Then
you watch it hit take profit
without you
= psychological issue.
๐ You change your trading style
every week because a strategy
hits a normal losing streak
= strategy issue.
๐ง After a loss you instantly open a
random, massive position with
no plan, purely to "win your
money back" from the market
= psychological issue.
๐ You take random profits at 5
pips but let your losses run to
50 pips
= strategy issue.
๐ง Price approaches your planned
stop loss. Instead of accepting
the loss, you drag the stop
further away because you
cannot emotionally handle
being wrong
= Psychological issue. e.t.c.
Understand the difference so you don't end up trying to solve strategy issues instead of psychological issues and vice versa.
The market will always test your patience, no matter what kind of trader you are;
. Sometimes the market will be 1 pip
to your TP then reverse straight to
your SL.
. Sometimes it will range for 7 days
after you've executed and still end
up hitting your SL.
. Sometimes you'll wait for 2 weeks
to see your setup only to hit SL in 1
min.
The market will do all it can to make you lose patience, but that's the moment you need to be strong and keep following your rules, because only then can you be rewarded.
๐ด The unprofitable version of

a loss.
๐ข The profitable version of
yourself will accept the loss and
wait for next opportunity.
๐ด The unprofitable version of
yourself will cut winning trades
short and let lossing trades run.
๐ข The profitable version of
yourself will do the opposite.
๐ด The unprofitable version of
yourself will take random trades
because you don't have the
patience to wait for your setup.
๐ข The profitable version of
yourself will sit on your hands
and wait.
๐ด The unprofitable version of
yourself will over leverage to
recover the money you lost.
๐ข The profitable version of
yourself will maintain same risk.
๐ด The unprofitable version of
yourself will change strategy
during loosing streak.
๐ข The profitable version of
yourself will stick to same
strategy no matter what.
Knowing that every strategy
must experience loosing streak.
One version will keep struggling โ
The other version will experience consistently profitability over
time โ
Choose your version wisely...
Are you aware that in trading, when you're wrong, you lose money, and when you're right, you make money?
Then, if you know this already, why do you keep failing to follow your rules?
Don't you know that by not following your rules, you're increasing the odds of being wrong?
Trader to trader, don't let anyone deceive you into thinking you're doing something wrong.
In trading, no monthly RR is fixed. You can be up +5R this month, down -3R next month, and up +1R the following month.
It is never fixed, and your strategy isn't broken just because returns fluctuate.
Consistent profitability does not equal a consistent monthly return.
Every month has its own market conditions...

"What strategy is the most profitable strategy"
I know a newbie might be asking he/herself this question.
I just wanna tell you there is none.
There is no best profitable strategy. It depends on how you use it.
