stupid two cents but there seems to be a lot of confusion as to why so many devs and some folks in leadership are being so vocal about layoffs in games this year. centralized union like SAG ✅ accountability to protect from layoff weaponization ✅ enough already. links ⬇️

Well, never thought I'd say this but I was just part of massive layoffs at Epic Games. It's a bit of a shock as you can imagine, I open my email and see a notice sent at 10:47am that says I'm being let go. I'll figure out my next steps at soon enough, cant keep me down forever!

Today I woke up so unbelievably sad. I miss my friends. 💔 The people who lost their jobs weren’t only amazing developers, but some of the most genuinely kind, caring and phenomenal people I’ve ever met. Logging in to them gone today, hurts. Friends, I love you. #EpicLayoffs

Sorry to hear about the layoffs at #Epic Games. 😑 We're currently ramping up on all fronts - if you're looking for a new adventure, have a look at supercell.com/en/careers - if you can't find a match, hit me up here or on @LinkedIn. There are several roles which haven't been advertised as of today. #supercell #hiring

I was laid off today. So I'm putting out the feelers. If you know of any positions open, feel free to send them my way! I've got 6 years of experience working in gaming, almost all of that in Influencer Marketing and Relationship Management.
