From the start of the summer some of the top apps seems to get delisted even with 500+ review. Now Swym got delisted because of an XSS attack making customers redirecting to identical checkout and that not being Shopify.

Well migrating to Polaris web components seem to be kinda tricky. Especially if you use components not being present in web components that were previously on react Polaris.

Yeap it is available but sometime ago we had an app that was going under review for getting BFS (Built for Shopify) badge and the team reviewing it was rejecting Shopify app pricing. So we went with manual pricing instead.

Well if you have done it without ai, the right mcp + ai speed ups the process a lot.

Would shopify app pricing will be eligible for bfs ? Some months ago it wasn’t.

Yeah indeed it would be nice to have a clean api. At least if the merchant enables it, uninstall and installs again app embed is on 😁

Good idea. Well you could always measure it with analytics and see if it slow downs the uninstalls

Well it’s an issue I guess even if you show them everywhere in the app. Maybe a link to a online support at that time? You could enable it with theme api but then bfs is gone even with a simple call (write themes scope).

You could enable it with an api call but it’s against bfs requirements.

The old z-index overlay ! The people who haven’t implemented it yet either don’t have the client base to notify them or they are build this first time. Some times on bottom of the screen it’s a race between all of the widgets. Good job @smilerewards

This is so true. So many edge cases even on scale. Safari is the worst and it will be forever. I remember the days going through browser stack to find the issue !

We got some merchants saying about this too from 20th of August and we thought it was some shopify issue. Thank you @jlarkin353 .
